This was our first trip to Les Deux Alps and to Hotel Ibiza, so we didn’t know what to expect. We were pleasantly surprised with the hotel. Although the decor was quite unique (see other reviews re action figures!), our room was spacious and clean and had lovely views of the mountains. The buffet for breakfast and dinner had a good selection and suited both adult and children’s taste, with different options every night. The boys also enjoyed having the cake selection available in the corridor, for between meal snacks. The cleaner managed to come in and turn around our room every day whilst we were at breakfast (no matter how quick we were, we never saw her but the room was put straight by our return!) The rest of the staff were also always friendly and accommodating. We didn’t use the bus, as we hired our equipment from the Alborg Hotel hire shop, which was on the slopes, so we could leave our equipment there, saving having to lug it back and forth each day (highly recommend this!). It was a nice easy 5 minute walk to town and the slopes, with plenty of places to stop for a hot chocolate or wine/ beer post skiing. The hot tub was out of action during the stay, which was a bit of a shame but the children enjoyed being able to use the pool when they came back from the slopes (more of a children’s play pool than somewhere to go to relax!) There is very little we could actually fault with the hotel and we are definitely considering a return visit next year.

Thank you for your comments on the Hotel Ibiza, we are so glad you enjoyed your stay. As I have said in other responses, the food selection is vast and we always get great comments on this. I am sorry that the hot tub was not working during your stay, unfortunately there was an issue with it that was beyond our control, however, I am glad that your children took advantage of the hotel's other amenities. We hope to be able to welcome you back to the hotel soon. Please get in touch with Zac at Ski France who will make sure you are really looked after if you decide to return. Kind regards, Vienna

The hotel is in an ideal location, close to the local amenities and ski slopes. There was a really useful shuttle service available to guests, which was a godsend after a tough day on the slopes. You felt well looked after and the driver was happy to pick/drop us off on request.

The hotel decor was eclectic, there were many quirky features making it a cool and unique place to stay. There was a variety of games to keep you entertained and the spa facilities boasted incredible views.

The breakfast and dinner were delicious, you were spoilt for choice and the food was fresh. There were lots of homecooked healthy options and I enjoyed every meal. Drinks were fairly priced and the staff were very friendly and attentive during the dinner service.

I think the staff made our stay at Hotel Ibizia an exceptional experience. We were greeted at reception by the lovely receptionist Beth and she made us feel welcome and was happy to answer our questions, she provided us with some great recommendations for dinner/things to do at the resort. The DJ, Ben, played some great sets and created a relaxed ambience in the evening. Ben was happy to play any songs we requested and was very chatty. I also remember the barman Nino, he was also very friendly and accommodating.

My only criticism of our stay here was that the Jacuzzi was not working, on our last day we noticed that some tradesmen were doing some work in the spa and it looked as if it was getting fixed. Shame it didn't work during our stay. Despite this minor setback, this was a wonderful holiday and I thoroughly enjoyed my sojourn at Hotel Ibizia.

From the moment we arrived to the minute we left our group were treated exceptionlly well by all staff members. Any questions put to the reception team were swiftly answered, nothing was too much trouble. Well done to such a team.
On arrival the check in process was swift and pleasant, the rooms were great, clean spacious and a fantastic south facing view of Le Diable ski range and mountains.
The food from breakfast to evening meal was outstanding, the quality and range of food surprised and pleased us in equal measure. The serving team were engaging and keen to please, Sophia was our main waitress and supported us brilliantly throughout the week as did her colleagues.
Nino behind the bar was great fun and had a great memory , he knew which drinks we wanted and when we wanted them , that is a talent! A specialist in the making is Nino.
The skiing during our week was fantastic helped by the great service that Vangelis, the bus driver gave us every morning and evening, getting us swiftly to the slopes and an equally swift return in the evening so that we could enjoy the great pool, jacuzzi and sauna facilities.
This is a great hotel run genuinely as a team with all parts working brilliantly together.
Thank you.

Firstly I’m baffled at all the good reviews!? We spent week at hotel Ibiza. Skiing was great, but returning to the hotel for the evening filled me with dread!

Dated decor, no where quiet or comfortable to sit, including your own room.

The bar in the evenings is not relaxing at all, all week they had a terrible DJ (if you can call him that) playing an odd mix of music, very loud and unnecessary! Also in the bar is a piano, used mostly by children playing nothing but noise! There is a pool table in the bar too, again mostly used by children making a racket, despite one also in the games room on the floor below.

Staff at dinner disinterested, and only thing they seem to be keen to do is take your dinner plate as soon as it looks empty. Food is awful. Cold and tasteless. The restaurant is dated, hideous broken furniture, chairs that needed to be scrapped years ago, tables packed in and very close together so every time someone behind you gets up to go back to the buffet you get hit on the back of the chair.

Seems the hotel is not sure who it’s catering for, families, young people, or couples? Choose one and stick to it.

Two nights we were woken up by people stumbling into their rooms drunk at 4am and could hear everything.

The pictures online are obviously very old and taken soon after it’s last refit. Photos of the sun terrace look nice online too. The whole week we we were there the terrace was covered in snow, never cleared and no furniture outside apart from two or three cruddy plastic chairs to cater for the smokers. we had good weather too on most days.

You can hear nothing but banging and everything everyone else is doing in their rooms in your own room!

One good point, ‘some’ of the staff were great... oh and there are free donuts (if you get there early enough so they haven’t gone stale!)

The one member of staff that came in our room to deliver new balcony furniture and dropped the ‘f’ bomb as he bashed into the other furniture in our room in front of us might require some training.

Dear Jcla55, I apologise for the delayed response to your review. With Corona Virus, having to close early and a heavy summer refurbishment program, it has meant we have just got round to replying to you. Thank you for taking the time to write your review, although it is disappointing for us that nothing in the hotel pleased you. I think there are two of your party who have written reviews so it is clear you will not be wishing to come back. We will however, look at every point you have brought up and look to see where, if appropriate, changes can be made and procedures revised. Kind regards, Ginny

The hotel could be amazing but in need of a refurbishment as paint was falling or the tiles in the bathrooms, wall sockets falling off the walls and the hot tub/spa and lower floor-area looked a little grimy , dated and in need of a revamp. The hot tub was on the cool side so didn’t spend more than about 15 minutes in there! The heating in the bar area did not seem to be working, and the fire was never lit. The live music on the terrace is only available during festivals, unlike what’s mentioned in some brochures and some websites.
The food was pretty good with plenty of choices including meat, fish, soup, salads etc and breakfast was even better. If all inclusive, you can either eat at the pano bar on the piste (huge portions) and only pay for your drinks, or advise the hotel you want to go back and eat there at lunch, or ask for a packed lunch.

All in all the hotel was good, the rooms were clean, the main beds very comfortable ( the bed settee not very). The food and location great 😊

With the exception of Saturdays, the hotel offer free transfer drop offs and collations to either of the lifts.

Overall this is a very good hotel. The bar and reception area is beautifully decorated and a lovely place to spend time. Underneath the hotel is a large games room, gym, pool and sauna. Also below the hotel is a ski hire shop. You can get a shuttle bus to the slopes but we walked it every day which took 10 minutes. The evening food in the restaurant is excellent with a wide choice and a French touch whilst breakfast caters for all nationalities. There were tea, coffee and pastries available on each floor of the hotel all day if you needed a snack. All the staff are very friendly and helpful and are willing to do anything for you. I’ve docked a point because the room was a bit dated, the bathroom radiator didn’t work to dry stuff and we were given a double bed for me and my son - we had to improvise and one of us slept on the base of the bed and the other on the mattress. There were no other rooms to move to. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

Staff fall over themselves to help you. Quality of food is really good. Plenty of choice to cater for different tastes ( we are quite fussy) . You’ll not go hungry. It’s not far from slopes but with ski boots a complimentary shuttle bus is ALWAYS available to make life easier - most times the bus was waiting without pre arrangement most we ever waited was a few minutes- amazing. The whole hotel is soo clean. The. Views spectacular. Drinks are reasonably priced ( cheaper than any bar we visited) the spa is also a little gem . Can’t go wrong with this hotel- wish I was there now!

We stayed here in early Feb 2022. Unfortunately we were traveling with Crystal ski which created a few issues.
The first thing you need to know if you are traveling with Crystal and staying at this hotel is that you will be seen as a second class guest. That means: no possibility to upgrade your room and rooms in need of maintenance with management saying it's not their fault that the radiators are broken (the management tries to escape their responsibilities). If you are booking the hotel on its own you will not have these issues. In our case, and the case of many other Crystal travelers whom we spoke to, the bathroom radiator was broken and the radiator in the room could not be adjusted. It was constantly on full blast making it very hot in the room. If that was just our room the fine, it happens. The staff knew about the problems even before we arrived but were not allowed to do anything about it to save money... Basically the rooms provided to Crystal were the rooms in need of major refurbishment.
But it is not all bad. The staff are great and helpful even when the issues as described above are raised with them. The food in the restaurant is good (we went for half board). And there is a pool and sauna. The only negative about the pool are the people using the pool as a bathtub and jumping in after skiing but without a prior shower. And, if you ski, they have a shuttle service to the ski lifts. Once you are done for the day they will pick you up from the bottom of the slopes.
In other words, stay here privately and not as a package holiday.

Very impressed with the hotel and staff. We booked through Ski France and they organised the transfers, ski hire and ski passes for us but you could go directly to the hotel. Staff were great and all work very hard. We were half board and they catered for everyone, even the kids found something to eat every night and there were plenty of vegan options. I particularly enjoyed fish night, including oysters. Only improvement would be if the food was labelled. There was so much choice I struggled to try everything every night. Hotel bus was fantastic at taking and picking up from the slopes. Would stay here again if going to Les 2 Alps.

My recent stay at the Ibiza Hotel was a whirlwind of emotions, marked by the exceptional staff and housekeeping services, but marred by the arrogant management and glaring lack of essential amenities. As a guest, I couldn't help but feel unwanted and bewildered by the stark contrast between the positive reviews I had read and the reality of my experience.

The attentive and friendly staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable, including the barman (excellent) and the cleaner did a superb job maintaining our room to the highest standard. Unfortunately, this warm atmosphere was tainted by the hotel's management team, whose dismissive and arrogant demeanor left us feeling disheartened.

Incredibly, the hotel ran out of not only beer, white wine, and cider, but also food, which is beyond ridiculous for any establishment, let alone one with such glowing reviews. This oversight was unprofessional and detracted from our overall experience, making us question whether those reviewers had been staying at a different hotel altogether.

The Ibiza Hotel had the potential to provide a fantastic experience, but the management's shortcomings, combined with the lack of essential amenities, made our stay a disappointment. Until these issues are addressed, I cannot confidently recommend this hotel to others. The feelings of unwelcomeness and frustration cast a shadow over what could have been a delightful stay, leaving us to wonder if we'd made a mistake in choosing the Ibiza Hotel

Thanks for your question. I would say a transfer from Geneva airport is the best way to get to the hotel, we guarantee the best price on these if you book them through our transfer company. Do get in touch with us at Ski France to see how you can book this and for a quote. Kind regards, Ginny

It would be a relatively easy walk with a pushchair if you are not wearing ski boots and carrying skis, which presumably you will not be.
