On the mountainside, beneath the sun of the Southern Alps, shelters this beautiful renovated Club Med Village : a cascade of rooftops nestling in the powder. Les Deux-Alpes invites snow-sports aficionados to launch themselves into an exceptional ski domain, overlooked by the Meije glacier, a true emblem of this region. By night, the terrace looks down over the resort, creating a cozy retreat where you can chat about your exploits and your progress during the day around an open fire.

We left the hotel with a mixed feeling. The rooms are really small, but you don't need much when skiing all day. The buffet was huge and diverse, but the quality was average. The hot dishes were often cold, but you have the pizza guy delivering some hot pizza's every minute. There was plenty of room to eat, but the plates were often still wet or even dirty. You have a ski lift 2 minutes away, but we waited for one hour to get a ski pass. The service is great, really nice and helpful people. But there are only 2 to 3 people at the desk, which is not enough when you see the number of guests in the hotel. So you can expect to be waiting for a long time to check in or out.
So it was a mixed bag. If you're here just to ski and sleep, you don't need to much luxury and you're not looking for a fancy place to eat, then you're at the right address. Otherwise, I would look for something else.
Just one last thing, the ski slopes are great. But the infrastructure (ski lifts) is not built for the amount of people residing in the village. So waiting for 45 minutes or more to enter the lift was a daily thing for us.

Whilst booked this through Secret Escapes, this Hotel was truly outstanding. The hotel was easy to find, in a great location (High Up and Near the Ski Lifts), You could walk out the doors and up a few steps to the Ski Lift, Ski back down to the Hotel.

A Buffet is Available for Breakfast and Dinner, they Open for Lunch and will even provide you with a Packed Lunch (You can make it yourself at Breakfast and add the extra goodies provided). All the food is included along with a Ski Pass and the Ski Hire (Also Included) is located inside the hotel !

Reception Staff (Well actually All Staff - Ski Hire / Restaurant / Entertainment) all very friendly and spoke English very Well (Certainly better than my French)

Buffet Food was outstanding with a good choice of foods for Adults and Fussy kids, They had Chlidren Entertainment and Play Areas, There was a number of services for kids too, They had Ski Guides on hand if you wanted, Great Wifi, etc.

The only negative is the rooms are small, but you are not going to a hotel with as much to offer as this one to sit in your room. Outside of your room everything is all laid on and plenty to keep you amused.

Truly a remarkable venue

I went there with my partner because we found a very convenient deal for New Year.

Positive
- common areas
- ski locker
- free covered parking
- good meat (especially beef)
- good fruit
- personnel is really nice and friendly
- formula with ski pass and ski matériel included
- excellent material for skiing
- refurbished bedroom

Negative
- everything thought for families so if you are not with kids it is boring
- kids are very loud, difficult to have a calm meal or even a coffee since they are screaming, running and jumping and they touch everything with hands in the buffet ( this last point done also by adults especially for the bread!!!)
- room is cleaned only once during the week, which is really below bare minimum
- reception times are very limited
- buffet opening times are very limited (1h30)

Overall I give 4 because we paied not much and value is there, but at a normal price I would have given a 3

Shambles of a hotel. Reception barely speak a word of English.
Taking a £230 deposit which 3 weeks after returning we are still chasing to have returned. Nobody on the front desk knows what they are doing and appears completely out of their depth when you ask a simple question. Management nowhere to be seen.

Added to this we were forced to have to walk at -20 conditions and ice/snow at 7am because the hotel has no taxi service or facility to escort guests down to the town when they are due to leave. Not so bad but with 3 large suitcases and toddler I'd have expected this has happened before.

If you are English do not stay at this hotel as they clearly do not cater for you and make no exceptions to provide even an acceptable level of service.

An utter disgrace and a hotel we shall not be returning to next in Les Deux Alpes

There are some good things about this resort but most are very bad. When we arrived we waited for our rooms for hours. Firstly the WiFi is absolutely terrible, the food is ok but doesn’t have much taste. The cleanliness is appalling with bits of food in “clean” plates and glasses. The staff are mixed with some being very rude and others charming. We were very close together even though there was free space in the restaurant. The place is mainly for children with many being to loud and even being sick in from of our food. Overall very bad indeed.

So... where to start...
1. This was the smallest room, I've ever been. Seriously, I am a compact guy :) (1.6 m height, 60kg weight) and the room was just small for me.
2. WIFI - the free WIFI is restriced to 512kb/sec (welcome back to 90's) and don't work in the rooms, so I've purchased a fast WIFI for 12E, which...also don't work in the rooms and available for very first gadget you connect to it. (of course, the stuff guys can't worry you ...)
3.Almost the whole stuff don't speak English
4.They don't clean the rooms... I don't expect every day cleaning, but...
5. The mattress and the pillow are terrible.

Rooms are very small. Food was not very diverse and seems to be on the cheap side in terms of Ingredients and variety. You need to walk 150-200 meters with stairs to get to the snow or take a shuttle All evening entertainment is in French. Staff is very nice and helpful and did their best to make our stay as enjoyable as possible.

Super staff, great food & excellent prices. Second time here, easy access to the village 1800 lift or pretty much first on the bus for the Jandri lift. Wholly recommend for an easy family holiday (don’t need to rush back to pick up kids - they’ll take the <10year olds into kids clubs after morning lessons so you can finish your skiing (or ski lessons) in peace. Note that the entertainment is very French oriented of course!

My Family of 8 (including myself) have just finished a late season Skiing holiday here - & honestly after reading these other reviews i'm a little shocked. The staff were all absolutely lovely & we tried our best to speak French & they appreciated that to no end & met us in the middle with their English. The rooms are small, but we wanted cheap, and thats what we got - food was always nice, not always piping hot but idk what you all expect from a buffet dinner - there was always plenty to choose from & if you use your imagination a bit you can create some lovely dinners from what’s provided - The evening entertainment was certainly always entertaining & the bar staff were just so lovely & polite - everyone has bad days so I think youd be silly to expect animated greetings & farewells every single day - The town is not a far walk & there was a free bus service every 20 mins that goes from town right to the doorstep of the hotel - beware with this bus though during ski hours it does get pretty rammed. Overall we have had an amazing time & we will be visiting again in the new year when the snow is hopefully more abundant 🥰 They even brought my Dad a Birthday cake - turned out the lights in the restaurant (probably annoying for everyone else ! ) and sang him happy birthday even used his name & asked which cake he would prefer ! Just Brilliant !

Just got back from staying a week in the village club du soleil les 2 Alpes.

Pros:
Beautiful views of the mountains.
Good evening entertainment in the hotel.
The hotel has a skiing rental available and a locker for your boots and skis to dry them over night.

Cons:
Rooms are dated and are only cleaned once in a week.
Reception staff are quite rude.
There is no luggage holder facilities and we were getting picked up for the airport at 6pm and had nowhere to leave our luggage.
The bus route is available to take you down and back up to the hotel down to the main square but the last bus to come back is at 19:55.

Food:
Food at the hotel was ok. They have different options. The fajita night was nice. Your sure to down something that you like there.

I wouldn’t stay at this hotel again as it is a little out of the way and a little dirty.
