We booked the junior suite at this hotel, which we found comfortable, not too hot like other ski hotels, with plenty of space. Not all the rooms are as large though and ours was also modern in decor which was nice. We didn't have a view of the piste, which would have made the stay even nicer.

The location of the hotel was just brilliant, you are straight onto the travelator on the beginners slopes and then ski down to the chair/bubble. We were really fortunate and were able to ski directly back to the hotel every day. You can also buy your lift pass in the hotel, which is a real bonus!

The food was really lovely and very varied on the half board package.

What really sets this hotel apart is the staff. All of them were just so friendly, professional and couldn't do enough for you. A real asset.

If I were to have one slight gripe, it would be nice to have tea and coffee making facilities in the room and a separate hair dryer rather than the one in the bathroom which you have to hold the button down for the duration you are using it. I have since fixed this though by buying a travel kettle and small hairdryer to take with me each trip.

Thank you Hotel Melezes and have a great ski season

Just returned from a wonderful holiday at Hotel Melezes. The communal areas of the hotel are absolutely stunning. They have kept the charm and traditions of a French chalet and added beautiful modern elements.

The reception and cleaning at aff were really friendly and informative and nothing was too much trouble for them.

The food quality for our daily evening meals (we were half board) was incredible and made even better by the wonderful restaurant staff. They work so hard and are super welcoming. The breakfast buffet provided was also great, with a varied selection to choose from.

Our room was spotlessly clean but we were a little bit disappointed by the size of the room upon arrival. I think other rooms in the hotel may be more modern but for our holiday it was a great base. The only thing that needs attention (which in my opinion is a very small quick fix!) is to add a riser clip for the shower head. The shower is quite small and it was quite awkward to maneuverer, especially after a day on the slopes. It was a very minor issue for us, however for guests who may be slightly less able physically, this could be a bigger problem.

Overall a fantastic stay and we cannot wait to return with the rest of our family in the future!

Thank you 😊

What a wonderful hotel!
Location:
The location is absolutely amazing, right on the slopes and a perfect place for children and beginners. The magic carpet right outside the hotel allows easy access to a couple of green runs with drag lifts. The main chair and bubble are also right there so hardly any walking required to get up the mountain! Also great for non skiers as you are right in the heart of the village.
Hotel:
The hotel is a great size - not too small or too large and lovely an cosy. We booked a suite to accommodate two adults and two children and had a fab room overlooking the slopes and town. You can really tell this is a family run hotel where they are happy to accommodate different tastes. The south facing terrace is the ideal lunch spot and is great for anyone not wanting to ski as its the perfect spot for a coffee and book as well as people watching!
Food:
We were on a half board basis and the breakfast and evening meals were incredible. 4 courses including a cheese course - all were great. If you have any picky eaters (like our 6 year old) you can speak to them in the mornings regarding the evening meal and they will try to accommodate and adapt the menu to suit. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member was happy to help.
We were very sad to leave at the end of our week there and will definitely be back again next year! Thank you to all the staff for making our first ski trip with children so easy.

From start to finish we had a wonderful ski trip!
We were a group of 10 with a young child and nothing was ever to much trouble.

Room: We stayed in a newly renovated cosy room with a balcony overlooking the slopes. The room was compact but absolutely perfect for what we needed the rooms were cosy and warm, lots of wardrobe space and storage and the most amazing walk in shower. Others in the group had the comfort rooms and a suite and we're all very pleased.

Food/Drinks: We were half board and the food was incredible, every evening was different and included 4 courses starter, main, cheese course and dessert. If you want an alternative just let them no in the morning and it's never to much trouble they are very accommodating. You keep the same table throughout your stay and John Michelle was exceptional as our waiter. The cosy bar by the fire is gorgeous after a long day on the slopes. The bar staff are very busy with both outdoor terrace and indoor dining during the day and you'd often have a long wait for drinks if sat within the hotel. I do feel they should have someone designated for hotel guests in the bar area and come around and ask if you'd like a drink when sat there in the evenings as we'd often have to find someone to ask.

Location: PERFECT! A ski in ski out hotel with lockers in the lower ground floor of the hotel. Your on the slopes in minutes and right next to the magic carpet and button lifts. To get into the town is only a few minutes walk with lots of bars and restaurants. The location couldn't be any better. We often visited the Polar Bear pub a 2 minute walk after dinner for a drink.

We would definitely return to this hotel the food was some of the best we've had in a hotel and was perfect after a long day on the slopes. An hour in the jacuzzi was lovely as well and you can reserve a time with reception.

Definitely should be more than a 3* hotel!

We visited the hotel for 6 days and we had a great experience.

The location of the hotel excellent. It is a true ski in-ski out hotel at the foot of the nursery slopes. We had an easy access the the whole mountain and we could ski easily back at the front door. Plus, the hotel is close to the center of the village.

Our room was big and fully renovated. We also had half board and we must say that the food exceeded our expectations (both breakfast and dinner). The highlight was the dessert!!!

The staff of the hotel was kind and helpful!

This was just perfect for our first ever ski holiday. As beginners it was great to be right next to the Viking free travelator to practice on the beginner slope, from the boot room with a locker for our skis and boots linked to our room key. We hired our ski equipment from Jaques Sport 2000 just opposite and they were incredibly helpful. The Melezes staff team were just lovely and the amazing dinners were a great surprise, particularly the desert buffet one evening.

This is the best hotel I have ever used in France. It is very conveniently placed for skiing. The staff are all delightful and the evening meals were exceptionally good and varied.

Aurelie was very helpful when I arrived back after a skiing mishap.

We had a fantastic stay for the Xmas week. The food is great, best we have had in numerous Chalets/hotels. The hotel is really nice, modern and cosy feel. All the staff were really friendly. Good location on the snow front. Nice spa. Would definitely stay again. Thankyou for looking after us.

I've now stayed three times at Melezes, and can warmly recommend it. It is family run hotel with great customer service attitude. Breakfast is of full value (with home baked croissants) and also dinner is of high quality (with marvelous dessert table 1-2 times per week). And location couldn't be better as you are just 20m from first lift. Hotel bar and lobby facilities are also cozy and provide plenty of space. Only improvement I would like to see is bigger sauna with proper stove, but here I am referring to Finnish standards ;-)

My family and I have spent four ski holidays at the Mélèzes Hotel and have always found all the staff extremely professional and welcoming. The hotel is well-placed at the bottom of the slopes and minutes walk from the major ski lifts. The food is excellent and very varied and they have always accommodated my husband and I who don't eat meat. We always look forward to the dessert evenings which are sensational - don't miss out! At the end of a long day we enjoy a family dip in the jacuzzi.
