This is our third time in this hotel. One of our secrets is this place. It's not on the main road; it is not s ski-in/ski-out; it is not in the middle of a vibrant town/shopping center and that's why it is sooo special. Beautiful mountain style decoration all around the hotel/rooms. Rich breakfast on self-service basis. Quiet, comfy rooms... More

Hotel rooms are lovely but restaurant service not so. Booked a table for 730pm. Shown to table and then waited for 20 minutes & not even a drinks order or menu so we left. 2 other tables arrived after us & they were both provided with menus & drinks orders.

We had a lovely 6-night half-board stay here early Feb. Rooms are on the small side but really adequate and comfortable, with nice modern bathroom and separate loo. We also had a balcony which was a nice-to-have. No kettles in the rooms, would have been nice, so we took our own. Food at both the buffet breakfast and the four-course... More

We stayed there for two nights and were at first shown a family room with two extra bunk beds which was not at all what we had requested nor booked. It took quite a bit of persuasion (as "the hotel was full") to eventually get the room we wanted with a balcony and which was quite satisfactory. Similarly request for... More

My wife and I stayed here in late March 2015. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had recommendations for all our ski questions (which slopes to ski, where to rent, etc.) We arrived after the ski area in La Chapelle had no more snow. However, there is bus service from La Chapelle to the base of the Chatel gondola... More

We had the most delightful Easter Sunday lunch. 4 courses and the starter particularly excellent. A gorgeous day. The hospitality just perfect. A family or couples restaurant equally comfortable here. The chef was incredible...we couldn't fault it. Make the trip. The food is worth it!

We stayed in Les Geniatettes for a short break(4 nights) beginning of March 2015, and thought it was incredible, the resort itself is very authentic. As a young couple that spoke basic French we felt extremely welcome. The staff (particularly Sandrine) were very helpful informing us of the local facilities. the food was truly decadent, the fillet of beef was... More

Well, what can I say!! For an Aussie with minimal French language skills, Les Gentianettes certainly looked after us and catered for all of our needs AND without any hassles. Nothing seemed too much of a problem. The hotel is personally managed and run by the owner and all of the finer details reflect her passion of things being done... More

We stayed at Les Gentianettes for 7 days at the beginning of September (we are actually still here, it's our last night :( ). It was amazing! The most important for me it was very clean. It was surprisingly busy for the end of the season but very quiet. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They have two great restaurants... More

For a modern hotel, this has lots of character and was a welcome respite after a day's hike over the hills from the shores of Lac Leman. The evening meal in the restaurant was a real highlight, and not just because we were very hungry! Breakfast was also excellent - look out for the fresh orange machine! The room we... More

“Phone directly to book. For some reason our direct price was cheaper than ther Internet rates. Also, consider half board as the restaurant prices looked expensive and we thought the half board option was more reasonable.”

“We booked very late when the hotel was already quite full so we had to switch room in the middle of the stay. Our first rooms 209 & 210 were fine. Then we moved to the 4th floor (404), a kind of suite very convenient for a big family (1 queen size bed and 4 beds), but under the roof with some part with low ceiling.”
