Found Chalet Ribot online and am glad I did, what a fantastic find. Keri and Patch are great hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. The location is brilliant, the food superb and plentiful along with the drinks. There is always plenty of advice about which routes to take if needed.

Thank you for a great holiday.

An outstanding 8 days with our hosts Keri and Patch.
Nothing was too much trouble. The food was a cyclists dream, brilliantly cooked. The views absolutely stunning. All in all a wonderful experience. Half board a must, the food really is that good! Definitely see you again guys.

In all of Europe, this has been my absolute favorite place I have stayed. The location is excellent, especially for cyclist (and for skiers) and non-cyclist alike. It is a homey atmosphere, with a great bar and community room with couches, books, tv and games. Breakfast was great and so was dinner! Letty and Chris are amazing hosts...sorry we didn't get to meet Kerri. Oh! I can't forget our other hosts: Denzil and Baghera!! The view from our room was magnificent! We hope to return for another stay.

The chalet is tucked back off the road off turn 12 on the road to Alpe d'Huez and has plenty of parking. Warmly received by Letty and Harun and their Bernese Mt. Dog Denzel! Rooms are great - super comfy and the bathrooms are really nice as well. Did I mention the food!!!! Harun is a trained chef and out does himself EVERY night!! Stay here stay here stay here!

I never leave reviews but the stay at Chalet Ribot with Letti and Harun was amazing. Top class hospitality every morning and evening and a stunning location for a group of cyclists. This is a place I will be going back to.

What a find... Chalet ribot is home from home...but better! Harun and lette run a fab place- Harun is a qualified chef so delicious food every night! The waistline did not shrink even after all the skiing... A long day on the slopes, we were greeted with a delicious spread of cakes and pastries, tea coffee or alcohol! We relaxed in the hot tub overlooking the mountains...or sat in the sauna and eased our weary bones. Dinner was a sumptuous 3 course affair...with whichever drinks you wanted...and breakfast was another hearty feast before a day on the slopes? I particularly loved the chalet ribot porridge and came home with the recipe! The bedrooms are spacious and beds very comfortable...our children were made to feel like valued guests..the gorgeous Lette even kept an eye on them in the main room, whilst adult showers were had. All in all, this was a wnderful holiday, Harun and Lette fantastic hosts. We will return...especially for "a nore wee gin" xxx

We have just spent a fabulous week with the most wonderful, friendly and attentive hosts - harun and Letty. We were a group of 4 adults, 1 teenager and 4 children aged 4 - 8. Our rooms were spacious with mezzanine levels for the kids so plenty of room for everything else! The rooms were tidied everyday and Molten and Browne toiletries were a nice touch. Coffee/ tea and drinks in room kitchen was an added bonus too. We ate like kings all week. Harun is an excellent chef and kids and adults were all suitably spoilt! The hot tub and sauna were lovely for soothing aching joints and enjoying a g&t. We were up early every morning to get the kids to ski school on time. Breakfast was continental with different hot options throughout the week. We were picked up at different times throughout the day so it wasn't an issue getting back to the chalet. Great holiday, made better by outstanding hosts!

The Chalet and hosts are AMAZING! We received a warm greeting from Letty and Denzel followed by Chris and Keri - for the duration of the trip they could not do enough for you.

Location wise, the Chalet is on the 12th bend (1400ft of climbing to get to it) on the Alpe. However, Chris was a real gent and whilst we had a beer or two at the bottom in Bourg, he was kind enough to pick us up in his van.

We were a group of 4 men who shared a room which was perfect and spacious. They provide towels and shower/hair gel which is good to know for our next trip - baggage wise.

Food was crazy good and at one point we had to tell them to stop bringing out more! We had a fussy eater within our group and in advance we notified them of this and they did not disappoint.

The bike facilities were decent, all the tools and cleaning area - whilst the bikes are safely locked away, I doubt you'll ever need to worry about them being stolen given the location. Chris is mechanic and made some adjustments to our bikes. One of our riders wheels broke and Chris was a real gent and loaned a pair of his wheels.

We used the sauna, pool and jacuzzi on multiple occasions which was just the job after long days in the saddle.

During the evenings we stayed at the Chalet as their is no reason to leave. The honesty bar was fully stocked with soft and alcoholic drinks - if you wanted something different they would go and get it.

We have stayed in Bourg twice beforehand and this Chalet was by far the best and you'll be hard pushed to find anything else which will top the whole experience.

I would say that this Chalet would also be kid friendly. If anyone finds fault with what they have to offer, they seriously need to re-evaluate their expectations.

If your'e a skier, this place would also cater for groups.

Thanks guys for making our trip memorable and best cycling trip to date - see you again! Scott, Danny, Alex & Steve, Swindon UK

A friend of mine and I traveled to Alpe d'Huez for a week of cycling at the end of the summer 2017 season. We stayed at Chalet Ribot for 8 nights and the accommodation and everything about it was 5 star.

Our room (Suite no. 2) was large, clean and very well appointed. A small kitchen area with a fridge and a Nespresso machine with plenty of coffee pods was a great bonus. The bathroom was big and clean and there were plenty of towels, toiletries, slippers, robes and even several fluffy hot water bottles (which we didn't need).

Letty and Harun are the most wonderful hosts. They are warm and friendly and are most accommodating. Within a few hours of our arrival, it felt like we weren't staying at a hotel, but staying with friends. By the time we left, it felt like old friends.

We stayed full board 6 out of 8 nights. Our only mistake was not staying full board 8 nights out of 8. Dinner was a highlight every night, sharing Harun's amazing food with the other guests and sharing stories of the day's exploits. The fully stocked bar and lounge was great for a night cap before bed, where dreams of tomorrow's cols occupied my sound sleep.

We brought our own bikes and the professionally appointed bike shed meant we had all the space, tools and other equipment we needed to reassemble, maintain and clean our bikes. Locks are provided and even things like CO2 cartridges are available to buy in the chalet. For a small cost, we were even able to have our cycling gear cleaned midway through our stay.

We barely had time to make use of the hot tub, pool and sauna because we generally got back later in the day but when we did, they were the icing on the cake.

If you are planing a cycling holiday in the Alpe d'Huez area, stop looking for somewhere to stay. If you've read this far, you have found the best place to stay without doubt. In addition to the high quality Chalet Ribot, the location is second to none as a base for a cycling holiday. I'm already starting to plan my next trip here.

PS: Denzel, the chalet dog was a fantastic extra bonus part of the hospitality package. Loved him!
