Quiet hotel tucked away behind the harbour front, a very warm welcome. Secure parking. Main town is reached via a regular ferry service which is 1 Euro 10 cent although passes can be bought which makes it cheaper to use. The town is very pleasant with some designer shops and many coffee bars and restaurants.
Stayed 2 nights in this sea themed hotel. A very short walk to the sea and restaurants. Owner couldn't have been more pleasant and provided a good continental breakfast. The only downside was the room was on the small side and it was tight getting the car into the secure gated car park. Would certainly stay again if in the area.
We enjoyed our stay here. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The room and en suite shower though small, were comfortable and very clean. This is a really well looked after hotel and all the public areas are immaculate - the owners clearly take a real pride in their establishment. We didn't have breakfast as we always prefer the option of a local bar - here overlooking the port - and getting a sense of the place. We did however, book a parking place as we had a lot of wine in our car - but be warned it is a tight entrance. Our Peugeot 308 estate car just made it in! Getting out was much easier though and it was so convenient for getting stuff out. Thoroughly recommended.
We were on a "follow-your-noses" tour of Brittany and found ourselves near les Sables d'Olonne, so booked this hotel spur of the moment. We were driving a Renault Elf, which was good b/c getting in and out of the secure parking was exciting (...! tight squeeze) but other than that, the proprietors were friendly, their dog sweet, and the stay quiet, clean and refreshing. Amazing view of the rising full moon over the rooftops, and the rising sun the next day. Lovely.
We have stayed at Les Embruns several times as we are more than happy with this hotel. The proprietors are very welcoming and helpful, the rooms are spotlessly clean with a great seaside theme, the location is excellent as Les Sables d'Olonne is just a trip across the harbour, there are good restaurants in La Chaume and we will be staying again!
