Having stayed at Campanile hotels many times before we were most disappointed with our recent booking at CAMPANILE CHATELLERAULT. Having asked for a disabled room with twin beds we were given a normal room only which thankfully was on the ground floor at least. The receptionists could only be compared to the innkeeper and his wife from Les Miserables and...

The hotel was just about OK for a stop over, but not if you ate there. We were offered entrée and dessert buffets for 16 euro and the buffets looked like they had been out for several days and there wasn't much left. We went to the Poivre Rouge instead which was just down the road. We took our own...

Fine hotel for a one night stay en route. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very easy access from the motorway. Spacious parking and agreeable restaurants nearby. Breakfast is OK. The free WiFi is actually working.

Campanile used to be basic, cost effective but usually quite pleasant but room and a meal, a couple of beers and suddenly I've apent over £100 for a room on the edge of an industrial/retail area of town. Contrary to another review at least we could make a cuppa in room the morning with the kettle & tea/coffee facilities, this...

We have stayed in many Campaniles over the years and this has got to be one of the worst. The rooms are awful and have not been updated. The bathroom lighting is dreadful. The rooms are noisy as the hotel is on a roundabout. They still have the ridiculous 'Toy Town' kettle, mean teabags and coffee sachets. They should drop...

Really basics one. Reminds me highway motels in US. Room very small, bathroom also. Bed quite comfortable, kettle with some tea in room, slow wifi provided. No air conditioning, so such small area is getting hot very quick. Rooms front side very noisy. Staff not very helpful, with poor English knowledge. Breakfast also nothing special, I recommend eating out. Price...

This is a Campanile. Its basic but quite ok for the money in my view. It was just a one night visit, en-route to a factory visit nearby.

We stayed here for a wedding in the area. The hotel is so basic its beyond belief. It was incredibly hot both nights and stupidly i expected air conditioning - no chance. The windows have metal shutters that come all the way down. Its like sleeping in a metal box int he middle of the desert it gets soo hot...

Tip -- Stay elsewhere. This hotel is dirty, noisy, uncomfortable, dingy and cost more than EUR 66 for the night!! We were kept awake by smokers smoking and shouting outside their rooms (smoking is, thankfully, forbidden in the rooms now) at 1am. EUR 40 would be an insult for this place and EUR 66 is a crime.
