An old style but clean and comfortable hotel that reminds of Inspector Perot (quite formal but not stuffy). We were given a very large room with old furnishings (not worn) which was quite quaint, but clean and nicely presented. The breakfast was a starched tablecloth and silverware affair with a good range of good food. The staff were well trained... More

Booked for one night as it is close to the tunnel. Stayed for about 30 mins before making excuses and finding other hotel. First impressions ok, receptionist friendly and efficient. Parking on site is a bonus. However, rooms are small although clean. Bathroom is traditional French, no fixed shower. Suit small person because toilet is very close to the wall... More

Bathroom - shower could not be used overhead - requires bracket to hold shower head above head height as it is a little difficult to use for older persons like myself by standing in a bath with no grab handles or anti slip mat. Large old fashioned radiators (I appreciate it is an older building) but this could be updated... More

This is a Budget hotel with rooms that have no frills. However it was clean & very centrally located within the town area surrounded by very nice parks, shops & facilities that the town has to offer. Ideal for the beach, Euro Star & shopping at Cite Europe. There is on site garage parking - chargeable, although free street parking... More

We travelled on the euro tunnel on Friday and stayed at the Metropol hotel for 2 nights. The hotel room was clean and tidy ad the bar area although small was well stocked. The hotel staff were attentive and we're happy to sort out any queries. Breakfast was home made bacon and eggs which served its purpose. The hotel was... More

Nice enough, clean, bit tired used to be smoked in the corridors. Rooms a bit warm. But bed was large and comfortable. Saying that Staff were really helpful. Nice and quiet. Easy parking and it's free.

It's a bit dark and smells old. Not a place I would choose to stay but was selected from the Internet as was close to the ferry. Alright for an overnight stop is you're not too picky and reasonably priced. The bed was comfortable and clean. Bathroom abut dated but reasonable. Free wi-fi. Not much more you can say really.

We often stay in this hotel. It's convenient for the shops, restaurants and ferry port. The staff are very friendly, the foyer is lovely. the rooms are comfortable but not luxurious and a bit on the small side. We have never eaten breakfast there but we never do in any hotels, so I can't say whether they are good. I... More

We booked this hotel 15 minutes before arrival at midnight on a rainy Calais night due to strike at the ferry terminal. We arrived with tried children after a long day's driving and were given a warm welcome and rooms ready. The hotel is clean but very tired and basic - a decent place for a stopover en route but... I stayed at this hotel while doing a charity bike from from London To Berlin. The Hotel staff were very helpful and arranged a place for the bikes to be stored. Not much in the local area but if you walk in to the center there is plenty to do. Hotel rooms were dated but very clean and large. Will... More
