The hotel is near the Channel Tunnel. The hotel is a little tired but has lovely rooms comfortable large double bed,but not one English Channel on TV. The Breakfast is very good with sausage n bacon etc on offer. But!. We stayed here on the 5th October, settling down to sleep late, we turned on the Air Conditioning, waking up an hour later the AC did not seem to be working being now after 1am too late to ring for help. We opened window but due to restricted safety opening the wind made really loud whistling sounds after 30 minutes of this we closed window. It was very warm in Bedroom. Too Warm. We had a bad nights sleep. We complained to Reception next morning as I was facing a 6 hour drive I needed a good night's sleep. The abrupt answer was "We Turn Off This Time Of Year!" We have stayed in Many Holiday Inns, including our stays here in France. We will NEVER Stay Here Again and will in future look at alternative hotels before booking Holiday Inns Again.

Dear michaeltenerife, thank you for your comments. We already answered on another site, just to tell you again that we are in north of France, in October our A/C system is switched off because we are ready to reinstate the heating. We are really sorry that you couldn't sleep, we really apologize for that issue. Kind regards, Hélène

Not sure if I’d stay here again even though there are plenty of positives. THE GOOD Refurbed rooms Pleasant bedroom decor Plenty soft pillows Comfy bed Decent air con Great hairdryer (unusual!) Parking THE NOT SO GOOD Poor standard of housekeeping (sadly rooms will be ruined quickly after a substantial investment) State of the corridors - awful outside room 017 Food selection Lack of ambience All in all, it’s a pit stop with nowhere decent nearby to eat. Ambience

The large, very peaceful garden with plenty of places to sit, including some sun loungers, made our stay, On a sunny day in September very pleasant indeed. The hotel is in a quiet location, a bit to far to walk to the beach, but it is possible to walk to Cite Europe in about 30 minutes. We didn't use the indoor swimming pool. We did have an evening meal, but like most places in France, no vegetarian choices. So we had s salad and fries, which was pretty good. The staff was friendly. The room comfortable and very clean. There is room for improvement though. There was no inroom safe, one of my pillows was "lumpy" and the hallways are in very much need of updating, they look terrible. But overall it was a pleasure to stay here.

This is the ideal place to stay en routh to the UK or travelling further South in France. the rooms are comfortable, the restaurant meal's are tasty and good value. Our kids aged 10 and 12 had free breakfast and evening meals. The hotel is set in lovely grounds and there is a decent sized swimming pool to use. We even had a game of pool to round off each evening. We will definitely return.

Food in restaurant is of very poor quality indeed, service is slow in restaurant but you can get over that if food was even average, but the food is diabolical and they just created a new menu too, it’s beyond words that such simple food half of which is frozen food can be ruined in the cooking procedure, but at this hotel that’ easily achieved. It’s not a one-off either! Air con in rooms is also not adequate & hotel being run on a shoestring
