The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless. The shower was excellent (they often aren't in French hotels). The breakfasts are good - a little expensive but good quality food. The hot chocolate was the best I have ever had in a hotel! It is very conveniently located for the centre, the cathedral and Jules Verne Museum. Brilliantly...

We stayed here for three nights including a weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The welcome was good and the room nice and comfortable. We were to the rear of the hotel and that meant the room was very quiet. We only had breakfast on the last day and found it to be very good with a delicious selection of...

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We had such a warm reception when we arrived, with recommendations for places to eat (which were excellent), and advice on parking our car. The room was large if basically furnished, and the hotel is centrally located allowing us to visit the key attractions on foot. We had a room in the...

Saint Louis is a nice hotel if you like to stay in a place that's more personal then an Ibis or something like that. Nicely decorated, it gives you a warmer welcome. The owner waited for us although we arrived late (a door code was submitted by email to enter anyway). Breakfast is fabulous and ther personal and owner are...

It is lovely to go somewhere that adds little touches. The location is brilliant, the rooms very clean and nicely appointed. It is very reasonably priced. It was the the attention to detail that impressed me. I phoned the day before to find out whether there were hairdryers in the rooms. The gentleman I spoke said 'no, but we could...

I had a very quiet room with a comfortable king size bed. Although the weather was very warm the room was cool and the absence of aircon was not felt. The bathroom was exceptional for a two star hotel, large and well equipped with a very good shower. Everything was spotlessly clean - something that cannot always be guaranteed with...

Quaint hotel - right off one of the main roads - well inside the inner ring road so traffic noise minimal. Parking seemed normally difficult as per a provincial French town - we abandoned the Motor Home a good 10 minutes walk away. Reception is not 24 hours so expect to use the intercom/telephone to gain access - luckily our...

Our family of 4 stayed here 2 nights. Our room: 1 toilet, 2 singles & 1 double. Staff are friendly & speak basic English. Breakfast is very good. Many lights in our room didn't work. Road is peaceful but still near Main Street. Our room looked into other's houses.

Not sure of the criteria used to give hotels their star rating, but if you want a clean, central hotel with nice staff and the best shower in the world, as well as comfortable beds, Hotel le Saint Louis may be for you! Only the wifi, which continually cut in and out, took this down from five stars to four...

We saw some good reviews on this hotel on TA, however can't say I agree. The woman who runs the hotel has little English which is a problem, however one of the other staff helped out. Hotel has no lift and a winding staircase so be careful with luggage size/weight if staying there. Room was tiny - no room for...
