We were supposed to visit this hotel with friends in October last year but due to family bereavement had to cancel. Our friends went without us and insisted we all went again this year. So pleased we did. The location is wonderful in a beautiful town and inside and out Bois Joli is all elegance and antiques. Our rooms were... More

My husband and myself stayed overnight in this lovely hotel on the 2nd October 2015. We had just completed the purchase and received the keys to our french house, we arrived around 20.30 and were given a very warm welcome. After being shown to our room we washed and changed, then we had a pre-dinner drink in the lounge before... More

We stayed in room No.5, a mid-range priced room with shower in a small en-suite. It is a very comfortable room although always dark because of the close proximity of the beautiful trees. Unfortunately, access to the shower was difficult for my wife, who has a slight mobility problem as the step into it was about 30cm high. She found... More

They bent over backwards to accommodate me as a coeliac for breakfast and dinner. We also particular enjoyed the cheese board. It really cute French hotel in very pretty area and a short walk to the lake. Wifi was not great, it wasn't a stable connection. Rooms were clean and quiet with blackout blinds. The staff had great English and... More

We stayed here for one night whilst touring the area. The hotel is opposite the racecourse, moments from the centre of town. There is free on-site parking although the gate is a little narrow and makes the entrance a bit awkward when coming from the town centre. We received a warm welcome and were directed to our room on the... More

This place was so nice. It oozed charm without being in any way pretentious. I had a lovely double bedded room with pretty lace window blinds and a small but functional shower in the en-suite. We were treated to a good dinner, which is pre-set, but the chef will make meals at special request if the set meal is not... More

Had a lovely break in this beautiful back in time hotel. All staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner very expensive (and wine) but of the highest quality. Continental breakfast with ham, cheeses, fruit cereals and hard-boiled eggs.

If you wish to take a Timemachine to the 70s you found the right place. Old style service (pleasant) and cuisine (no thing to say) and even The Pompidou's photo in the reception will make your journey. Nothing changes not even the menu .. A good place fora one night visit to Bagnoles.
