Not so happy this time. Room small, Bathroom so tiny, also not so clean as expected.. My husband found it so difficult to use. Party going on downstairs so very noisy thoughout the night. Every drink purchased was either wrong or the price varied from the drinks menu every time. Staff did not speak very good English and my attempt...

Not sure about this hotel. The staff were not in the least bit friendly and did not seem to understand English. We were staying for one night on a Shearings holiday. The staff were pre occupied with a function at the hotel. The function included loud music which brought a number of early morning visits to the reception from disgruntled...

I found this quite a charming hotel ! The food was good and for the money found it very good you get a drink in your room for the morning too . For what I paid I really can't moan and so I give it the thumbs up !!!

I booked a one-night stay at this hotel purely because of its close setting to the train station, but left happy that I chose it. Admittedly it is fraying a bit at the edges but otherwise it is a perfectly acceptable mid-level hotel. May be the term "grand" is more aspirational for a hotel with a tiny lounge over which...

The hotel looked very nice as we pulled up to the front door on Sunday evening, We where given our room keys and told our to be back in the restaurant...

We stayed for one night on the way home to England. The receptionist was very friendly as we arrived and offered to book a table for us for dinner. The room was clean and decorated in Art Deco fashion. The bathroom had a jacuzzi bath and shower over it. Unfortunately no shower curtain which was a bit difficult not to...

On a Shearings coach holiday. Breakfast finishes at 8.30 myself and husband were down by 8am.there was nothing, bread or croissant left for us. Only one table setting left. Each day breakfast menu consisted of Cornflakes, a croissant, a 6 in baguette, ham and cheese slices. Warm tea and warm coffee. No fruit or yogurt, no healthy option. After many...

Was told by reception that we have a choice of breakfast continental or full breakfast. We choose continental but when we checked out they insisted that we had the full breakfast. The staff were not there to verify where the continental breakfast ends and the full breakfast starts. Beware. Room was not sound proof.

One night stay here on return from a coach tour. Centrally located hotel (close to station as the address suggests) so possibility of some train nose. Our room was facing the inner atrium so we did not experience much in the way of noise. Speaking to fellow travellers, it was soon apparent that rooms were 'individual' and ours was no...
