Others prefer to lounge around our large lagoon pool and still others prefer to walk and cycle along the waterfront or through pine forests and olive groves.Our waterfront terrace restaurant/cafe provides healthy local specialties prepared with local olive oil, sea food, wine, herbs. etc. The old town center (which is within walking distance from the Resort) offers an additional dozen waterfront restaurants and cafes as well as shops. We stayed at Illyrian Resort for 6 nights and it was a great experience. The apartment was clean, spacious and had a great view of the sea. It is also perfectly located: just outside Milna (10/15min walking) and you can literally swim in front of the hotel restaurant (the food there is also very good!). And most importantly, the hotel staff is super friendly and welcoming! Would definitely recommend staying here when visiting Milna.

Avoid this place...the reception lady (suspected owner) needs hospitality training. She is so personally engaged (self confessed been there 20+ years) in the place that she will not accept there is anything wrong or any customers point of view. It took us three days and getting our travel agent to call her to get them to look at broken door! Lied to us many times, lives in a non real world bubble. Eventually got moved apartment by which time did not want to be there. Do not believe website, there is no safe or Wi-fi that is usable. She’ll tell you safe isn’t needed, yet crime has risen three gold in last few years. Plus, all staff are temporary students from away so hardly we irony checked. I had downloaded programmes / films for my daughter to watch, so all the Wi-fi had to do was hold to verify account to allow us to use, wouldn’t hold long enough. It is a beautiful location, stunning views. Access to sea is very rocky and slippy, plus constant boats make it very choppy all day. Pool is nice, but small, and limited cleaning. Saw it cleaned and checked once in 10 days. Extremely steep location, so lots of steps to get anywhere. Both inside and outside of buildings. They are rough concrete steps with no hand rails, so anyone without perfect balance will struggle. Not suitable for those with lower mobility. Restaurant has nice food but not big enough selection. To be fair, this applies to whole of Milna, the menus are almost carbon copies everywhere you go. You need to like grilled meat, pasta or pizza. Very little examples of local cuisine, if any. We left 5 days early after getting alternate accommodation from travel agent. Would not recommend to anyone. Could be so much more with a little effort and hospitality. …

Another great holiday in Milna staying in Illyrian Resort. Lovely friendly staff. Ideal location to the beach and lovely walk in to Milna. Great menu in the Restaurant Plaza. Great spot, definitely be back in 2020

We stayed at the Illyrian Resort for one week in a one bedroom apartment. The apartment was spacious, basically furnished, had a great little kitchenette and a lovely terrace from which we could see the sea. It was nice and clean and had a large double bed. The sofa also covered to a bed if required. The location is great, right on the seafront. There isn't a beach as such, but some man-made platforms and rocks which are great for sunbathing. The hotel are happy for you to take drinks to the beach as long as you bring the glasses back. It is around a 20 minute stroll to the beautiful town centre (either up and over a steep hill, or slightly longer around the harbour). We absolutely loved Milna and soon got into the habit of watching the sunset from one of the harbour-side bars every evening before finding somewhere lovely for dinner. One down side was that our room wasn't cleaned for the whole week we stayed, and we only got fresh towels once when we asked for them. Loo roll top-up also had to be on request. Milna is built on several Hills and there are a number of steps up to all of the apartments at Illyrian Resort. Not a problem for us but may not be suitable for anyone with mobility issues. We had a couple of lunches at the resort and what we had was very nice, but the menu is quite limited. The restaurant/bar is a nice place to have a few drinks at the end of your day or before heading off into town for the evening. For the price we paid, we were really satisfied with the accommodation and were always met with friendly smiles and good service. …

The apartment was not very well cleaned. Dusty (the top of the wardrobe can't have been dusted since last year!), window glass covered with other guests' fingerprints, god knows when they were last cleaned, spiders and spider web in ceiling corners, one can tell the cleaning ladies are not doing their job at all. The hall staircase also dirty and wet most of the time and not cleaned every day. Nowhere to hang wet towels in the bathroom AT ALL and they were not changed even once during a 3-night stay, no shower curtain or the door so the bathroom was always flooded after taking a shower. The apartment was so close to the beach, the children loved the medium-sized pool, but due to poor cleaning, we wouldn't go back again.
