heavily surprised with the standard inside the hotel, that was apparently refurbished completely 1y ago. Comfortable room, beautifully decorated, great breakfast and only 5-10 minutes walk to many restaurants in the centre of Chalons. The room was big enough to accommodate 1 or 2 children. The only downside, they are now re-doing the outside of the building, that should be...

Very friendly and welcoming staff. The hotel has been recently refurbished and I really liked the modern decor, which is neutral but nevertheless cosy and welcoming. The hotel is within walking distance of quite a few different restaurants. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel but it was closed the day we were there so we couldn't test...

When we turned up here we were quite shocked about the state of the outside of the hotel with the front door boarded up and an entrance through an uneven path in the garden. As soon as you walk in though things change dramatically. It is a very high-end decoration inside. For the €99 we paid I think this is...

We have been looking for a stop over mid way on our frequent trips south. Someone on Tripadvisor said Chalons was terrible - NOT SO!! Go walk around and see the old cathedral, city walls and wonderful old buildings! The hotel, down a one way street with easy access ground level parking, is within walking distance of all of the...

All of the staff were exceptionally friendly and kind during my stay. I really want to thank them! The room was lovely, perfectly clean - massive bathroom and a big living space. I was not interrupted whilst working, and was very courteously treated by the team. Really enjoyed my stay here, I'll be back! Thank you!

Great off street, secure parking. Warm welcome. Gorgeous, well appointed room. Very comfortable. Kettle too! Quiet room on second floor at the back. Would definitely go back. Plenty of restaurants nearby.

The hotel is being renovated as can been seen from the other reviews. It still isn't finished and to enter you must go through the unfinished pathway at the back. The stairway has loose wiring and ha not ben fully painted. The staff are pleasant and welcoming. Th room had been renovated and looked out over the front onto the...

We were just wrapping up week four of our six week European grand tour…and we were exhausted, and we were stopping in this little town to break up our drive to Paris. This hotel was just completely renovated, had a huge new bed and a 50 inch flatscreen SmartTv. We brought take-out back to the room and surfed YouTube while...

We have been traveling around Europe for six weeks and this was our favorite hotel of the entire trip. The room picture above needs to be updated as the rooms have been remodeled and modernized. I wish I had taken a picture to post.

The hotel is in a perfect condition. All seems just renovated with great and "clean" style. Light colours, woody and really luminous (sunlight). Altought the hotel has no kitchen, the breakfast buffet is well assorted. Additionally, the personnel is really attentive and helpfull... In summary: excellent hotel. Recommended!!

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Pasteur Hotel is a delightful one on in many ways. Set in a former convent, its pièce de résistance is a superb ornate 17th century staircase. Its fortuitous position in the centre of the town means that guests are able to enjoy a range of gastronomic delights in nearby restaurants, less than 10 minutes’ walk away. The nearest, Le Petit Pasteur, which adjoins the hotel is highly recommended. In summer’s heat the hotel’s shaded terrace is a must. 28 comfortably-appointed bedrooms and off-road parking within the inner courtyard. The Pasteur Hotel is a charming traditional independent hotel ; it is not part of a hotel chain ... more   less
