Steeped in history set in bucolic surroundings. The extensive grounds and chateau are charming only to be outdone by the charm of the host - Magdalena and Antoine. We walked the expansive grounds, introduced us ourselves to the cows grazing in the pasture, and had a lovely dinner the night of our arrival, The room was large and nicely decorated....

Spent a wonderful night at the Chateau de Prye. After touring several of the other estates in the region it was a wonderful experience to stay at the chateau. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable with vintage furnishings. There are only a small number of rooms available at any given time so you will be sharing the property with very...

Lovely history, beautiful building, lovely people- and fabulous food. Definitely worth it!!! Went for a jog in the surrounding forest and for a day trip to Bourne which is famous for its Pinot Noir. The breakfast is basic french (fresh bread from the bakery and croissants) with jams and cheeses, and we did the dinner one evening which was really...

This was a great experience for us; a castle-stay fantasy that few people get to enjoy, but with the added realism of the candid insights of its owners who are normal, humble people who are happy to share their home and their family history with us as visitors. Added to the castle experience was a fine meal, an even balance...

Everything about our stay here was perfect! If you are looking for a relaxing, unique way to experience France (away from the tourist masses), Chateau de Prye is the castle for you. Two things in particular stand out about this place: the beauty and history in the castle as well as the charming and friendly people that run the place....

My husband and I spent one night of our honeymoon at Chateau de Prye on our drive down from Paris to Provence. From the moment you drive through the gates, you know you're in for something special. We were greeted by their friendly Golden Retriever, Valdek who guided us to the main entrance. Magdalena and her family are warm and...

It was the warmth and genuineness of the people allied to the spectacular appearance of the château that one remembers. Whether Magdalena, Antoine, Antoinette, or even Zaldek the golden retriever, Prye will remain one of the most special experiences.

We have had the most wonderful stay at the Chateau de Prye. The castle is absolutely magnificent, situated in a beautiful estate, we could explore for hours in the park within the estate. The rooms are all very beautifully decorated, it was like living in a piece of history. We had a delicious breakfast next to the fire place, very...

My girlfriend and I spent a very relaxing two days here during our driving tour of France. Our room was quaint and delightful. The chateau is beautiful and located on a large and quiet estate. I recommend staying for dinner, which is served by candlelight in a room with the other guests. There is a wine list available, but the...
