We first stayed at Le Sarment D'Or almost 20 years ago, when we visited Alsace with friends. We had a fantastic time, and so when the chance to visit again came earlier this year, it seemed natural to book to stay there again. Sometimes, going back to places where you have had memorable stays can be a mistake. Not so...

It's the second time I have stayed here. Sebastian and Serg really make you feel at home here. They go out of their way to make sure everything thing is ok. Location is great, at the top of the village near the gate and close 5min walk to the car park. You have easy access to stroll around the village...

After finally making it inside the city walls with all of our heavy bags, we found the hotel down one of the beautiful side streets. There was no one at the check in counter so we had to wait awhile for them for someone to check us in (but we arrived later in the evening than we planned). The gentleman...

Lovely hotel small hotel. The stairs are a little trickie to get up with the luggage, but the rooms are clean and charming. The restaurant is a class of its own. The food i absolutely star quality and the staff is very good at suggesting good wines to go to the meal. I have eaten here several times even if...

We stayed 4 nights at the hotel which was a perfect location for our visit to wineyards in Alsace. The hotel is located in the old part of Riquewihr in one of the very old houses. The hotel has a free parking just 300m from the hotel which is very convienient. The room was nice and fresh considering that is...

We stayed overnight for dinner on our way to Switzerland. The dinner was very good. For starters we had a great foie gras, for which the Alsace is famous, and the Queus de langoustine. Simply very very good. The we had an excellent rack of hare. Nice thing about the extensive wine list is the a reasonably long list of...

This is a truly outstanding restaurant that happens to have a few rooms to rent. Having said that, the rooms were perfectly adequate, the bathrooms were modern and clean, and everything worked. The location is perfect if you want to be in Riquewihr. The restaurant is closed on Sunday and Monday nights and the staff level on those days is...

This is a very hard hotel to review. It was nice, but there are some reasons I wouldn't return. First, I would describe this place as a popular restaurant that happens to rent rooms upstairs. There isn't regular service for the hotel guests; you have to grab someone working at the restaurant. When we did find staff, they were always...

nice spacious rooms, comfortable beds, friendly hosts, great location. This place is a great deal considering the prime location (especially considering we were coming from Switzerland). Didn't try the restaurant for dinner, probably should have in retrospect. Breakfast was pretty standard (croissant, OJ, bad coffee) and internet wasn't the best in the rooms. All in all though we would definitely...

Le Sarment d'Or was the highlight of our recent trip to France. I booked the hotel for myself, my wife and our 14 year old daughter for four nights having read the recommendations from Trip Advisor. Everything said in the reviews was true and more! An historic, charming and immaculately well maintained hotel, set in a cobbled lane in an...
