Detailed Reviews
We had a fantastic stay at this luxe property. It is high end all the way. The bedrooms are fresh with the main bedroom looking out over a green patch of grass which attracts grazing kangaroos each morning and evening. The kitchen is very well decked out so you can cook up your feast. The property is close to the 12 Apostles for visiting.
A few points:
Maybe I missed it when booking but breakfast items are provided. I don’t think the website clearly stated this as well as the booking documents. In any case it was a nice surprise to see some great produce and items waiting for us in the fridge for breakfast!
It would be great to have a guide for the property in the lodge eg local walks; how to get the mountain bikes from the manager; where to go to eat/buy food, etc. Again no biggie as everyone is so connected via the internet these days.
Overall though this place is still 5 star luxury. We would return...

We really enjoyed our stay at Alkina lodge. The lodge was beautiful, clean and modern.
The main bedroom has a beautiful view of a field where there were kangaroos in the morning and afternoon. There is also a bit of a view of the ocean in the distance but it is limited and not what I would expect from a “sea view”.
The hosts were very accomodating and were kind enough to let us plug in our electric car to the mains power which was a lifesaver.
I would recommend bringing food and supplies with you because there are no shops nearby (although breakfast is provided).

From the moment I received a welcome sms early on the day of check in, I knew the owners were interested in their guests. I booked Alkina based on the reviews I read and it didn't disappoint. A great location not far from Port Campbell - on a cold but clear winter afternoon we were welcomed by a family of kangaroos near our lodge. As we got settled with a glass of wine it became apparent this was going to be a great stay. From the gorgeous fireplace to the heated bathroom floors and gorgeous bath, we couldn't have asked for more from this beautifully architecturally designed lodge. The winter rate was worth every cent but it can get pricy in summer. Lodge 1 seemed to have the best ocean views from the main bedroom and there is ample dining, bedroom and living space for a large family or 3 couples.
A great remote getaway location in a central part of the great ocean road.

We thoroughly loved our stay at Alkina Lodge. The luxury accomodation is huge and extremely private. The enormous, fully equipped kitchen makes self catering a breeze. We particularly enjoyed sitting by the fireplace or relaxing in a bath after enjoying a day of exploring the pristine surrounds. We would go back in a heartbeat.

We highly recommend Alkina Lodge. The accommodations were top notch, we loved seeing the kangaroos grazing right off our back patio. We also highly recommend doing the Australian BBQ dinner. Cyndi & Jordan do an amazing job, the food was fantastic.

Quite possibly one of the nicest, most modern places we've stayed along our travels. Nestled in a quiet, private locale, only a short-ish drive from civilisation. A real hidden gem. Would definitely recommend.

There is so much to love about Alkina Lodge - the gorgeous architecture, the relaxed feel inside & out plus the incredible service of Jordan & Cindy who manage it.
We enjoyed a weekend with girlfriends and it served as our sanctuary between walks. The kitchen is perfect for cooking up a feast & the living spaces provide a beautiful relaxed feel, not to mention the main bedroom with its stunning views.
Jordan was so helpful before & during our stay with advice, local knowledge and lifts to our walking spots. We couldn't have asked for more. Can't wait to return.

Roadtrip with 2 adults + 2 teens. Stayed 2N. The lodge was great. Well thought out and well stocked. Hamper on arrival. Convenient distance from Great Ocean Rd formations. We used it to recharge our minds and bodies and do
nothing for a couple of nights. Slept in, read, watched TV, listened to music. Kangaroos directly outside the back of the lodge. We cooked ourselves - will require planning if bringing own food. Caretakers Cindy & Jordan were great. e.g. DVD player wasn’t working and fixed it within the hr. Thanks for a wonderful 2 nights and one of the highlights of our trip.

An almost strange experience. A small, beautiful, and avant-garde lodge secluded well off the Great Ocean Road. A mob of kangaroos outside on the front lawn, yet a well set up kitchen and rooms inside. Perfection.

Spent two nights in this beautiful place while walking the great ocean road. We were doing the walk through a company that booked our accommodation and took us there each night so we had no idea what accommodation we had.
Boy were we surprised with such a large luxurious, beautiful place set in a peaceful setting with kangaroo's grazing around the outside. Being early September the temperature was still quite cold but on arrival there was a nice fire going in the fire place, which Cindy being the perfect manager of the place had thoughtfully pre-made for us.
It was a perfect place to rest after a long days walk with comfortable beds, and if desired a good relaxing soak in the large bath in one of the bathrooms.
