Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The resort has a beautiful garden and the buildings must have been great a long time ago. Our room was in need of some repair work. The toilet was noisy and running all night. The shower and taps were broken and the main door did not fit properly in the frame. The staff were very friendly and the food was not bad. Beer was the only alcohol that was sold and it was very expensive.

Our group stopped here for lunch after we visited the Chiang-Dao elephant training center. The food was both plentiful and delicious. Although I can't comment on staying here there food was excellent.

We recently stayed here for one night on a cycle tour of Northern Thailand. It is an ideal distance for a first ride out of Chiang Mai. The hotel is situated in beautiful grounds but the rooms, although clean, are a bit tired. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the pool is clean but new sun umbrellas are needed. If you were coming here for a weekend you might be a little disappointed but for us it was what we needed.

We stayed here for 5 days with some other families and the grounds are lovely and right next to the Ping River. However, the rooms are pretty basic (but clean!). They served us Thai food each day and were very accommodating, especially to the families with small children. We had a BBQ the last night and they even lit a big bonfire for us to sit around afterwards. You are up in the mountains and surrounded by greenery - so bring your mosquito repellent! We did have some problems with the shower drain, but the staff came and fixed it promptly and offered for us to change rooms if the problem could not be fixed. This is not a place to go if you want to run in and out of town, but if you just want to 'get away', it's perfect!

Stayed here for one night only on a recent trip through the North of Thailand with a group tour. Nice reception area and reasonably big room. A problem with lack of drainage in the shower area was resolved quickly. There was a bottleneck at the dinner buffet, i.e. not enough food, which left me with white rice and vegetables... annoyingly. I think they were overwhelmed dealing with such a large group. May be quite different for individual travellers.

On a solo bike trip around the Chiang Mai Province during low season. No other rooms were occupied. Staff was very friendly, service was good, food was just OK. Room was clean and large, a/c adequate, bathroom needed upgrading - it was probably from the 50's or 60's. Massage was outstanding.

As with previous reviewers we stayed here as part of a cycle tour heading north to Chiang Rai. I think we where the only guests but still enjoyed our stay. After riding all day in 40 degree plus heat it was a green oasis. They ran out to greet us with a cool welcoming fruit juice which was a nice touch. The pool was welcoming and we enjoyed our swim and having a quiet, cool ale beside the pool. We pre-ordered dinner and it turned up exactly on time. All the dishes were selected to be spicy and we werent disappointed. Overall we felt that the spices were not as heavy handed as a lot of Thai /Lao restaurants here in Australia. The rooms were clean and adequate, there is a few steep stairs to the top rooms but not a problem for us. Breakfast there was no choice and we all got an "American Breakfast" , scrambled eggs, 2 slices of sweet bread, butter , jam and those little breakfast sausages. Along with a cup of tea or cofee and very sweet fruit "juice" (from a bottle. There is an extensive and pretty well maintained garden which runs down on the river. If you are looking for a nice place in this area, this is it.

We stayed one night as part of a cycle tour. The property is located on lovely grounds next to a river and a very nice pool with an indoor/outdoor restaurant on site. The rooms were large and comfortable enough just it is just dated. Some minor bathroom updates could do wonders to improve. Nice location for couples and quiet place to relax. We enjoyed our Thai dinner onsite and free hot breakfast buffet was nice.

My friends and I stayed here over the new year period 2015/16 This is a well layer out resort, pool near restaurant area and nice breakfast balcony looking over garden. rooms were clean and quiet. This was a very quiet resort and we saw very few guests. . . . . We did see some minivans come in to get lunch for their groups, probably as location 45k north of Chiang Mai traffic jams

Visited as part of a tour and had a set menu lunch everything I ate here was beyond delicious particularly the milk curry soup to start - there as a lot of food which was not spicy in order to accommodate all tourists. Toilets outside were a bit dirty but I was told there were multiple other facilities.
