We stayed in Apt 5 (the one with the vine covered terrace) from 23 - 29 October 2016 and truly loved our stay. What was great? We watched the olive harvest from our terrace overlooking the groves and on to the rolling countryside beyond. We plucked grapes from the vines over our terrace and ate them out of hand -...

The property here was beautiful! It was perfect and had amazing views of Tuscany. The room was great. It had a master room, kitchen, bathroom, and a small common area with two beds. The grounds were amazing, we were free to wander the necturene trees and the owner even came out and picked some for us to eat. It had...

Has beautiful walks beautiful view not so helpful staff no good internet and if you go out the taxis stop at 8:00 and the breakfast is bloody expensive. I do not recommend this if you plan staying out late

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights in September in a room with private terrace overlooking the olive trees and gardens - perfect for late night star gazing and early morning sunrise! The owner Marinella and her staff were charming and helpful, lounging by the natural swimming pool after a day of driving around the Tuscan countryside and towns...

I visited Podere San Lorenzo 3 times during my study abroad in 2004 and returned this year (2016) as it is a place very special to me. Situated in the beautiful hills of Tuscany very near the beautiful Etruscan town of Volterra. The owners are amazing- friendly and hospitable and generous. Salt of the earth people. The house is a...

We booked a cooking class for my husband, 16 year old daughter and I with just 36 hours notice and had a fantastic time. Marinella, the charming owner was lovely and accommodated our vegetarian requests (our daughter and I are vegetarian while my husband eats everything!) immediately despite the short notice given. In three hours, we made homemade pasta including...

A beautiful property from where one could enjoy the exhilarating landscapes of Tuscany. We stayed in the room A on the second floor and everything about the room was quite perfect. Like many others we also enjoyed the sumptuous breakfast served in an old chapel attached to the house which is now a dining hall. The city center of Volterra...

After the first stay of my parents at Podere San Lorenzo near Volterra five years ago, it was clear to them that they would return. I was fortunate enough to accompany them on their second visit in May of 2016. I was overcome by the magical ambiance of the location and the house. Marinelle, her husband and the staff were...

We stayed here about 10 years ago (2007), before it was easy to find on the internet. (had to lie on the review date because I saw this on Trip Advisor and HAD to write a review on our experience. Forgive me but it was that good) We were looking for a quiet, quaint out of the way B&B in...

We went in October with my partner and it was one of the best accomodation we had in Tuscany. Simple, but so beautiful, surrounded by tons of olive trees. Marinella, the owner, is so nice, friendly and helpful. One night it was pouring, was quite bad, so we decided to stay at teh Podere, and Marinella and her husban organized...
