We drove into Volterra from Lucca with no GPS, only a map but Jenny talked us through the streets on the phone and we found our way with no problem. Lovely little hotel and we unloaded our bags at the front door and parked just down the street in the pay lot (which was unmanned and had no one to...

This hotel is small and charming. The rooms are warm and welcoming. We had a quiet third floor room with lots of chintz and patterns. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was huge. Great breakfast included in the rate. Staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel had good wifi and is inside the city walls, convenient for shopping...

This hotel was the 2nd stop on our Italian tour and it was the nicest of the 5 hotels we stayed in. Despite having to drag our wheeled luggage from the entrance to the town (the bus was too big for the streets), we enjoyed everything else about the hotel. Our room was on the back and had a great...

This is a very nice and centrally located hotel minutes from everything within Volterra's walls. The staff is particularly nice and very helpful--especially in recommending restaurants and gelaterias. The breakfast is also delicious. The hotel fully deserves its TripAdvisor #1 Volterra hotel designation.

This is a clean and cozy hotel right in the middle of Volterra. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are nice. There is even a patio for you to enjoy on warm evenings. It is a great place to stay while in town.

We stayed at the La Locanda in September while on a Rick Steves tour and enjoyed it very much. Comfortabl, clean, well-located, good staff. The only thing that wasn't less than perfect is how tightly packed their breakfast room is when filled with people, so I'lol say it was very Cody. Would love to stay there again.

We had a nice stay here for our last night in Tuscany. We were very happy with the room, huge modern bathroom , great staff and great location. Ask for a renovated room, the lobby is deceiving. The rooms for the price are very cute. There is a paying parking 2 min walk from the hotel. Worth paying for the facility.

In those days he fixed onto the front of the building some urns, boxes for urns and the tops of urns from the etruscan time, with representations of fantastic animals and scenes of the trip to the inferno.he found all this here when he excavated the site.to decide to stay at the hotel la locanda means discovering the wonders of the culture of a remarkable town. ... more   less
