We have spent 2 nights in October. The place is well located to visit near by town such as Volterra. It has a 360 degrees nice view. Service was perfect on all points of view, they are accommodating customers requests very efficiently The restaurant offers a nice short menu but with diversified dishes and accompanied with a nice Wine list.... My wife and I stayed there about a week ago. This was our second stay, the first was in September 2014. Needless to say, it was just as wonderful of a visit as the last time. Honestly wish I stayed more than two nights. Absolutely peaceful! The 360 degree views of surrounding Tuscany are breathtaking. The staff are very friendly,... More

The first thing you notice about the Agrihotel il Palagetto is its fabulous location right in the middle of the tranquil and breathtakingly beautiful Tuscan countryside. At night, other than the cicadas and the occasional owl calling, it is silent, In the distance, around 5 miles away by road, perched on its hilltop is Volterra which is so typical of... More

Dear 129Richard, thank you very much for your review which i found emotional, correct and truth in every part. And thank you very much for the surprise you defend us against the previous comment. That's surprise me a lot indeed I also think that someone just wanted to discredit or has beed paied to write falsehood. More

We spent 2 nights at this hotel. We were in the area for a wedding. It is not fancy but our room was very clean and comfortable. You can tell they are making an effort to make it more contemporary. The stone buildings themselves are very pretty. The A/C was so-so. All the staff was very nice. We didn't spend... More

The setting is magnificent. Rooms not too large, bed in double room is queen size. Having installed a complex and surely expensive hydromassage in the shower, room for a normal shower becomes reduced. Fantastic food both over dinner and for breakfast. Service was a little bit slow, but view from the restaurant terrace compensated for it. Very nice swimming pool.... More

I've travelled a lot in the world and I know when I see a hotel that is not worth it's stars. I'm not talking about my personal opinion but about facts. A 3-star hotel does NOT: -have plastic in the food. (I asked the waitress how it could have gotten there and she said she doesn't know, sorry, and took... More

If you go to this place, you will want to rent a car! The hotel is very isolated but that adds to the appeal. The view from the hotel is stunning - something to enjoy while sitting outside or while having dinner through the big windows in the restaurant. The staff were all very friendly, social and always there to... More

We were here just one night. Sort of the middle of nowhere. Beautifull place. Build in old style. Peacefull ambience. Kind personell. Dinner was good, breakfast okay, but mainly the place and scenery were lovely. Nice pool overlooking the hills of Tuscany. Wow.

If you are looking for an affordable hotel with beautiful views and nearby to Volterra (hidden gem of Tuscany) and San Gimgnano then look no further. The tree lined drive up to the property is stunning and plenty of seating to take in the stunning landscape. The hotel itself was a bit dated but nice. It is a really good... More
