This hotel is an ideal location for walking holidays, It is very comfortable, beautifully clean and has very friendly helpful staff. It is close to the centre of the town, most rooms have balconies and lovely views.

I have recently reurned from a 10 day holiday at The Hotel Astor in Selva. This was my third visit to this family run hotel in a pretty village near the top of the Gardena Valley in the Dolomites. The Pycha family couldn't have done more for us, from the owner Herr Pycha and his daughter Doris who ran everything so... More

On three occasions I have taken our walking group to Hotel Astor. Each occasion has been an absolute delight. Mr & Mrs Pycha and their daughter Doris certainly know how to operate a hotel efficiently but in a welcoming atmosphere, indeed all the staff are helpful and friendly.. There is a buffet style breakfast with lots of choice and the... More

We stayed in a suite on the top floor overlooking the small town of Selva. The views from the room were fantastic, from the balcony and side windows. I can honestly say I have never stayed at a cleaner more comfortable hotel. The younger staff are multi lingual and all staff are very friendly. Breakfast is a buffet bar with... More

Stayed for a long ski weekend. The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the main Ciampinoi ski lift in the centre of town (in shoes, not ski boots) and its a fairly level walk. Plenty of parking at the front and the rear of the hotel, and it also has an underground garage that we didn't use. Communicating with... More

A very friendly family run hotel in the heart of this mountain village high in the Italian Dolomites. Warm and comfortable offering great value and easy access to the magnificent Sellaronda ski area. A recent refurbishment (2002) gives the very pleasant building a beautiful appearance and top quality facilities.

I stayed at the Astor with my family from the 26 December 2012 - 6 January 2013 and it was truly amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the food outstanding (literally could not stop eating) and the rooms comfortable and spacious. It was a quick walk to the closest ski lift. The skiing in Selva is unbelievable and... More

Having stayed in Selva for the past 8 years our party of 9 were disappointed to find we had been double booked for half term week. After a couple of hours in the tourist office The hotel Astor had rooms for the first couple of days, so off we went blind. The staff were great, the location for the slopes/lifts... More

We stayed at Astor for one week in February 2012. We were a group of 4 families travelling together. This was our third time in the Dolomites and second time in Selva Val Gardena. The hotel is centrally located. Closest lift is the Dantercepies (just a minute's walk), a longer walk to Ciampinoi (five minutes). Dantercepies can be very crowdy... More
