As a family of 4 We rented two bungalows, which although basic, served their purpose well. We wanted somewhere that offered bed and breakfast as well as having a decent pool and wifi for our two teenage children. And that's what we got. The rooms...More

The nearest beach is in around 10 minutes of walking (Marinella beach if you want to check it on the map). Of course you can swim there. There are two parts of the beach there - private (paid) and public (free, but not equiped). Sea is beautiful here. The water temperature depends on season.
But I have to notice that beaches in Sorrento are a bit unusual. It has only small areas with sand. Mostly it's like artificial platform under water and you should go down to water like in swimming pool with stairs. But in Marinella there is sand part in private beach.
