We booked to stay here as part of a Crystal ski package. It is fabulous. The hotel is run by two sisters,Elena and Claudia, both delightfully accommodating. They made us feel like guests in their own home. Our bedroom was very comfortable with a king size bed, very clean and a modern functioning bathroom. The only downside being the bath is very small (thing 3/4 small uk bath size) with just a shower attachment for hair washing. Our children (both adults) shared a twin room again very clean and with a shower room en-suite , however the twin beds were not full width single beds so not ideal for our son at 6’4” . The communal lounge was great for relaxing in, playing games (lots provided) reading etc as well as enjoying a drink/ cup of tea or coffee. When asked for a cup of tea it came with a biscuit Barrell full of delicious biscuits. The food, home cooked locally sourced food was superb. Full continental at breakfast and wonderful 3 course meal each evening. Always 2 choices and very flexible so plenty of options even for pescatarians/vegetarians. We were offered 2nds and 3rds of everything and with the food being so good it was hard to refuse! The location was great with ski bus stopping about 5 second walk from the front door in the morning. Being the 1st stop we always got a seat before the hoards got on and for the way home the bus driver dropped us off right outside the hotel, do ask though. Great location working the resort . Definitely recommend this hotel (just avoid the twin beds!)

Claudia and Eleanor are great hosts, they could'nt do enough for you, they were very helpful and informative during our stay. The accomodation was very comfortable, well presented and clean, with a relaxing common room with a small bar for guests to relax in the evenings. Our room was a good size with a modern bathroom. The breakfast was continental, what you would expect from a 2/3 star hotel. However the evening meals were exceptionable and the portions were very generous and the staff were very attentive. We visited with a group during the ski season, the hotel has a heated storage room for your ski gear. Due to the 10 min uphill walk to the Clotes chair lift and 15min uphill walk to the Sportina chair lift, we tended to get the bus which was every 15mins the 8.30, 8.45 or 9.00am bus was perfect as the lifts opened about 8.45am. The location was very convenient, 5 min walk from the main square, were there was some après ski with a 10min walk each evening from lively to relaxed. Highly recommended!

When you are greeted on arrival with the words "Welcome Home", you know you have chosen the right hotel. Elena and Claudia are the warmest hosts you could wish for. The 18 room hotel is run in an efficient and, above all, friendly manner.
Rooms are unfussy but suitably spacious and impeccably clean. Hot water was plentiful.
Breakfast was a simple but plentiful continental buffet with enough to fuel a day in the mountains.
Dinner was the highlight of the day. Claudia's home cooking is exceptional in quality, variety and volume. This is a small hotel so expect choice to be restricted and to select your dinner at breakfast. This is common in real family hotels throughout Europe. The choice was always between fabulous or splendid. Portions are not small.
The friendly lounge was a relaxing haven for pre and post dinner chat with fellow guests. The boot and ski storage is easily accessible and heated.
The Biancaneve's location just off the town centre meant that guests are among the first onto the bus. Buses are a tad chaotic at peak times but that is a resort issue.
This is a warm, friendly and welcoming hotel with great character for a relaxing holiday.

We stayed in this fabulous hotel for a week with family and friends. Everything was wonderful from the minute we arrived and Eleanor and Claudia are the perfect hostesses. The hotel is spotless and the food was incredible! The banquet on New Year’s Eve was just amazing, all homemade with freshest of ingredients just couldn’t refuse second helpings.
Our hostesses provided us with information from tips on access to the slopes entertainment to shopping and travel. After dinner we enjoyed relaxing in the comfortable lounge and the lemoncello was to die for made from organic lemons. Our weather was clear blue skies everyday so we enjoyed afternoons sitting in the sun after ski school. Our group consisted of mixed ability skiers ranging from v experienced to myself at the beginners end. We all enjoyed great skiing and we were happy enough to chill in the evening in hotel but saying that there are plenty of bars and hotels close by if we had the energy to move out. Location was ideal bus stop to the slope just outside the door and other amenities like supermarket pharmacy coffee house and all important wine shop were within a radius of fifty metres!
All in all I can’t recommend the hotel highly enough and the village of Sauze d’Oulx I would love to visit in summer for a different type of holiday. Only negative we all went back few pounds heavier sign of a good holiday!!

What a place and what a hotel, the 2 star rating is massively modest for an establishment run like a fine time piece. The sisters who run this hotel could do no more to make our family stay more welcoming. The level of cleanliness and culinary expertise surpasses many of the 4 star establishment we have stayed in.

Hotel is quite and perched on the edge of the central square with ski lift 10 (bus if you want) minute walk and bars and restaurants 5 min away. The village is compact and perfect for families and couples and alot milder than its 90s image.

Skiing is amazing and we found it hard in a week to do the same same runs twice. Not the better option for beginners, but 1 chairlift up gives more alternatives.

Ski hire slot more reasonable and helpfull away from chair lifts. We used Three 60 next to the Ghost bar who sell the best burgers for your lunch break.

Cant say any more about hotel and resort, will be booking our return for the very near future we hope.

Stuart&Lisa.

My family of four stayed over Christmas and we had a lovely stay!
Amazing food! Basic but good breakfast, fresh bread and crossiants every morning. Ham, cheese and boiled eggs and cereal every morning, you can't complane.
Evening meals were amazing! Pasta or soup for starter, main course would be a meat or veg then desserts were always fresh and local.
The two sisters were lovely and always accommodating. The two waitresses that also worked were always there to help.
The rooms were spacious and always clean. However, beds were slightly hard and only one pillow and we had quite a small radiator for the size of the room so struggled to warm and dry clothes and room was sometimes cold, but didn't affect our stay.
Smart TVs located in room so option for Netflix and Youtube was good!
We used the lockers on the slope which were £20 per person which was worth it.

This hotel is very professionally run by two hardworking sisters and was spotlessly clean. Our room was of an adequate size. The food is not 'high dining' but simple Italian fare and more than adequate portions are offered.
It is well situated for the centre of town with the bus stop nearby for those that wish to get a lift to the ski tows but for the reasonably fit, it is an easy warm up walk. There aren't any noisy bars or late night venues nearby. The only downside for us was that they were unwilling to provide tap water with meals despite it being more than palatable and it would have been a much more environmentally sound choice.

As ever the sisters that run this charming hotel in Sauze were welcoming and even remembered us from
our last trip 3 years ago. Room was spacious and very clean and the chance of losing weight whilst on an active ski holiday went out the window with the fabulous food served every evening. There are more lively hotels in the town but I am sure none as cosy and friendly as this one. Great value for money and a lovely stay.

My son and I had a very nice stay. Great evening meals, very friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable room and fast wifi speeds. A shower cubicle would have been preferable to a squat shower in the bathtub. Would recommend.

A delightful, small friendly hotel. Lots of space in the warm, inviting lounge bar. The restaurant provided more than adequate continental breakfasts, including scummy pastries and wonderful coffee. At breakfast we were asked our preference for dinner, options for starter and main and always happy to offer an alternative to suit. A good inexpensive selection of Italian wines available too.
So many reviews state how inviting the hosts are; but it is difficult to describe their genuinely warm and friendly nature, combined with professional and helpful service.
