This modern hotel is really well located at the centre of Sauze d’Oulx and is very comfortable. The rooms are spacious and decorated with slick style - we had a fabulous shower in our large bathroom and a private balcony (great on a sunny afternoon) overlooking the attractive outdoor seating area. There are two dedicated outdoor pods for groups and celebrations, which look very pretty lit up at night. The indoor bar is also inviting and popular. Breakfasts are fairly standard, self-serve with limited cooked food and the usual choice of continental patisseries, but there is more effort made with the dinner menu: the meals we ate were very good and the food, served in generous portions, was generally delicious. There is secure ski and boot storage for skiing guests, and the ski bus stops just opposite. Hotel staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful. While the resort overall needs investment (slow lifts, poor liaisons between ski areas), the Hotel K2 is absolutely spot on, excellent for relaxing after a day on the piste, and for a good night’s sleep!

Excellent hotel with beautiful décor and in a perfect location in the village square.
The rooms are really comfy and the bathroom is outstanding, It's also very quiet, we didn't hear any noise at night time.
We were bed & breakfast and there was always scrambled eggs, little sausages, meats, cheese and pastries. The bar is a great place to sit and watch the comings and goings in the square if you're on a break from the mountain.
They also have a lovely sitting area outside which I imagine is beautiful in the summer.
The staff are all very friendly too. We'd definitely stay again.

We are on our way back from Sauze and K2 after having spent 5 nights and 4 days skiing in Valletta.
K2 is a good choice for a stay in Sauze. It is easy to walk to the nearest ski lift (nb only 300m but a steep way upwards).
We stayed in one of the rooms with a private jacuzzi and our 12 year old daughter loved it and had a bath every evening. It was big enough for two. The room itself is also quite spacious as well as the bathroom.
The staff is friendly and Marco in the restaurant tries his absolute best to keep everyone happy and does a good job. The breakfast is small but there were enough choices for us. The dinner (3 course included) is ok. The woman in the reception was helpful.
There is a terrace right outside of the hotel where you can enjoy afterski drinks in the sun.
The hotel deserves its 3 stars. But would have to put some effort if they wanted one more.
The only negative thing(s) I could mention is that the (free) Wi-Fi doesn’t work in the rooms with the jacuzzi as they are situated in a building some meters from the hotel. Also the overall lightning in the room could be better as the room is very dark (‘in a cave’). The daily cleaning could include cleaning of the toilet ;). There is a television in the room with lots of channels but if you fancy watching international channels (for example CNN) where they speak anything else than Italian you will get disappointed.

What you should know about Sauze before going there is that the Valletta ski area is big, but to our disappointment they shut down the ski lift/piste that joins Sauze with the other skiing areas (Sestriere aso) if the weather is a bit windy. For us this meant skiing in only Sauze for the two first days before getting to explore the whole Valletta area. This was a true disappointment as we looked forward to getting to ski for example to France.
The lack of enough natural snow makes the area even smaller as some of the pistes were closed. The first days the pistes were crowded, as there were many beginners and ski schools skiing at the same time.

We've just had a brilliant stay at this hotel. Had a triple room and the accommodation was superb. It's has been beautifully renovated to a high standard a couple of years ago at it was very modern inside. We were half board and the breakfasts were continental which was all we needed. The evening meals were three course freshly prepared meals which were delicious and healthy. The manager was fun and friendly and the drinks were great (although we did overdo it on the red wine one night). The piste is a short walk from the hotel and the skiing was fantastic. Highly recommend the hotel and the resort is great!

Hotel is centrally located approximately a 5 minute uphill wall to the chairlift. Hotel was modern and clean, room was spacious and had a nice balcony. Had a small issue with hot water at times. The main negative of this Hotel was how the restaurant is managed if you book half board. You will only be allowed to wither have a appetiser and main or appetiser and starter. Despite the cost in the appetiser and starters being the same the Hotel were super strict and were not understanding if you didn't like any choice on the appetiser list. On the last evening we addressed this with the English manager who came across very condescending and felt like it was a big deal to ask the chef to give us some pasta instead of the appetisers that we didn't like. I think she needs training on understanding the importance of guests to the business. The most popular items also seem to run out like the rib eye so unless you have an early dinner they might tell you it's not available. My suggestion is do not book half board and if you want to eat at the hotel see the menu first.

The staff in the bar and the cleaning lady were really friendly but the staff at breakfast and in the reception felt like they were uninterested in the guest. The rooms were nice but a too warm and you couldn't control the heating in the room. Nice view from the rooms. The lights in the room were poorly. Either it was super bright or you only had one bed lamp and only one switch worked. The TV didn't have any channels in with English news.

Chose a hotel to suit budget for first ski trip with young children. Easy to find, lovely staff, breakfast hit all the right notes, lunch and afternoon bar inside or out was lovely.
Rooms for 5 of us suited us fine, both had great showers, double and treble rooms with beds good.
Our choice of hotel but bus service to chair lifts not in their control and sometimes had to walk with all our ski gear up hill to Sportina Chair Lift. Hotel had good ski and boot room but because of bus service we paid to deposit skis and boots at the top of the chairlift which .are such a difference. Easy walk from hotel to chairlift in normal boots and no ski gear

Stayed for 1 week over New Year and had a great time. Rooms are modern and bathrooms very nice. Staff are very friendly... we were genuinely well looked after and in a very personal way. The bar next to the hotel is super with tapas served in the evenings.
Room was hot when we arrived but quickly rectified by the front desk. The breakfasts are nice especially if you like cake! Extra things could be ordered too depending in availability.
The location is super right in the centre. So of course it's a bit noisy but that's the flip side of the location. After a day skiing we didn't have too much trouble getting to sleep but be aware that the Italians like to party over the New Year period! So it's not for families who want quiet.
All in all thoroughly recommend.

The rooms are too warm! But the staff running the hotel are fantastic. The receptionist was lovely helping us with a later check out and the team running breakfast were really friendly. The bar staff are amazing and make an awesome espresso martini - try the hot chocolate with brandy as well - and looked after us really well, whether it was evening drinks or making some coffees to enjoy in the sun outside. Great place.
