I had the true pleasure of spending 5 days with Luciana at this terrific little hotel after seven weeks traveling, five of which were hard trekking across high mountains. Luciana is a fantastic hostess (and funny), and very thoughtful about the many ways to enjoy the region, especially with helpful sports/hiking-related materials. The breakfasts have great quality pastries, breads, and... More

We stayed here in 2012 and couldn't wait to return. It was our favorite place in Italy. It was just as wonderful this year too! The hostess Luciana was absolutely the best! She was so warm and welcoming; she always went out of her way to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. She made us really... More

Small friendly hotel about 10 mins walk to the lake in a very quiet area. Good sized room with a large bathroom and lots of complimentary toiletries. Excellent breakfast with a selection of Italian meats cheeses, fresh fruit, cereals , assorted breads, amazing cakes and eggs, which were scrambled or boiled. Breakfast can be taken in the breakfast room or in... More

We were only staying one night in Riva and knew where we were going to eat so looked for a good B&B rather than a full facility hotel. The Garni Hotello was just what we wanted. A friendly greeting from the owner, a comfortable room (Aqua), a pleasant stroll to the area round the port where we were eating, a... More

This is a great little B&B hotel. Our room (room 1) was large and comfortable. It was impeccably clean and was meticulously cleaned every day. The breakfasts are amazing, loads of choice and really nice cappuccino. The owner is really friendly and can't do enough to help, even though she doesn't speak much English. (Fluent in Italian and German though)... More

We stayed there for a week in September 2013. This a cozy family owned hotel 10 minutes walk from the city center. Very clean, basic rooms. We enjoyed the breakfast: excellent quality with freshly prepared homemade pies or sweets, different each day.

The owner of this hotel is so friendly. Her English is not great but better than my Italian(!) so she went out of her way to get her daughter in to speak to us in English. Despite the language barrier she clearly tried very hard and was a warm and generous person. Rooms very clean, beautifully designed and with a... More

We stayed in Garni Hotello after our MTB tour over the Alps and the place offers everything a tired traveller can wish for: rooms are rather small but newly refurbished, there's a small garden where breakfast can be enjoyed and the owner is the most kind person. Breakfast is generous and "healthy" - there are the typical Italian breakfast items... More

Lovely decor and friendly staff. Rooms very basic, bathroom only 1m wide you have to sit on the toilet sideways. People were allowed to check in at 1.30am so was very noisy and then decided to stay up shouting and arguing till 6.30am. We may have just got a bad night. Limited parking spaces. Breakfast was good, everything fresh and... More
