Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Maybe they gave me the oldest room they had, but I can say that although it was very large, the decor made me jump into the 70s. Everything clean. Problems with your internet connection. Breakfast, served for a fee at the Hotel La Posta, is definitely valid. Very courteous service.

The Albergo is linked to the hotel Posta ( just a few steps away), where you check in and take the breakfast. The rooms in the Albergo are great: plenty of space, very clean, very quiet, excellent beds. wiFi/wlan excellent. It was a real delight to stay there: a lovingly renovated old building. The buffet breakfast had plenty of choice, and is in the beautiful old building of the hotel Posta: the feeling that this was a really grand hotel with fine guests enjoying Italy 100 years ago!

You check-in at the Hotel Posta and then a member of staff walked me to Albergo Reggio. Very well located in the centre of town at the end of a short shopping arcade within easy walking distance of the town museums (free entrance in mornings, museum of the tricolore italian flag, etc). Hotel has two entrance doors one after the other, both always kept locked so always felt safe though don't think Reggio Emilia is particularly unsafe place anyway. Would definitely stay here again if returning to the town

This is a good albergo, run by the people at Hotel Posta. our room in Dec 2012 (double) was Euro 69. there was no view but the room was spacious, though only one comfy chair. Heating was good, shower very good. No complaints. The staff were very helpful in organising forward accommodation and suggesting places to eat.

Down town, city parking (extra charge). Room was not very clean, there were hairs in the bathroom. Sheets were changed every two days. Reception service OK. Luggage carrier assistant pulled the trolleys in the kerb, did break the wheel of one, but I have noticed it after having tipped him!

A really comfortable quiet hotel, but yet the location is great - in the centre and within walking distance of everything. The bed was comfortable, the room clean and the bathroom spacious compared to many Italian hotels with a good shower.
The staff at the Hotel Posta (a block away and where you check in/out) were so helpful with suggestions of where to eat, places to see and would also happily have arranged visits to cheese and balsamic oil producers (though they'd prefer a week or two's notice).
If you choose to take breakfast at the Hotel Posta, then there is a good selection, but I chose only to do so on the weekend, as there are plenty of local bars.
Would very happily stay here again.

Albergo Reggio is the annex for the Hotel Posta (a block way) where we stayed for five nights in March 2013 while attending a conference. The location is in the old section of town with historical sites nearby and is a pedestrian area with limited traffic. While most Italian hotels include breakfast, it was a treat to have so many good choices including fresh fruit and a large wedge of Parmigianino cheese on the buffet. It was perfect given that the Reggio-Emilia and Parma are the home of this treat.

Great value for money annexe of the Hotel Posta. Clean and comfortable with a lovely bathroom. Our room looked over the tiny street below but no noise as we were in the pedestrian area. We to drove around a bit because the gps wanted to take us down the pedestranised areas. We parked at the Posta (10 Euro fee) and the staff here were very helpful, bringing our luggage to the room, helping us with a electric adaptor. The only reason it's not five star is the lack of included breakfast. By the way Reggio Emilia is lovely!

This hotel over performs for a three star hotel, likely because it's operated by the nearby 4-star Hotel Posta, a member of the Chateaux & Hotels Collection. We arrived road-weary from crossing the Alps and drove around the pedestian section a couple of times not believing the GPS telling us we had arrived. That's because the parking is within the Hotel Posta's compound and the Albergo Reggio was nowhere to be seen. |Once we got over that, the staff were gracius in allowing us to practice our limited Italian, switching flawlessly to English when the going got confusing. The room was beautifully appointed and quiet - overlooking a covered loggia keeping any street or restaurant noise away from our window.

The description about being well located for shopping is completely accurate: fashion, leather goods, local food products abound and the Tuesday market was a bonus. My sister found a 'made in Italy' Max Mara linen shirt for 2 Euros.

Unfortunately their associated restaurant wasn't open the one night we had available, but we found excellent trattorria food nearby, and totally enjoyed window shopping and strolling around the piazzas people watching before adn after our evening meals.

I recommend this hotel to any traveller for value, comfort and location.

You have to check in at another hotel but you do know this in advance.

The rooms are dated but very clean. We got clean bedding and towels every day without asking.

The location is very central which was great.

Also there is a kitchenette in the room which was an added bonus. So nice to have a fridge and glasses etc.

It was a little noisy until midnight on the Saturday but very quiet after that. I think it is the nearby restaurant you can hear.

For the price I would stay again.

The cleanliness is the main reason.
