We stayed here for 4 nights and it was the most fabulous experience.
We were visiting family so out most of the time but it is the most peaceful place.
The surroundings are beautiful,
The owner wonderful.
The breakfast was superb.
Only small problem was the room we had was in the eaves and would be a problem for tall people. I had to duck as I entered the bathroom.
Would love to visit again though.

Beautiful and magical place. My husband and I and a couple of friends stayed here at the end of September. Our host is a very kind and pleasant lady. Very large park. You come across pheasants and moles in a very intense green.
Silent and vast place. Ample parking. 2 large gates which can be accessed independently at all hours with the remote control supplied. An experience definitely worth repeating.

I had a short 2 nite stay at Villa Anita. It was so lovely and I was happy for the experience…Everywhere you look there was something interesting to see, incredible attention to detail, whether it be antiques and books. The grounds are incredible. I would love to go back in the spring. The welcome was very warm and attentive. I loved the room. It was very comfortable and very quiet. I had a great sleep. The breakfast was more than what I could have asked for. The Villa is a good base to go to Modena, Parma, Bologna and south. It was a wonderful experience to stay in such an interesting house.

Nineteenth-century villa immersed in a park on the outskirts of Reggio Emilia, a stone's throw from the Via Emilia which leads to the centre. Upon arrival you are greeted by Vittorio, a very kind, courteous host... a man of times gone by... The furnishings of the Villa bring you back to the glories of the nineteenth century. The room is large, spacious with 2 walk-in closets. The King size bed, with comfortable mattresses. Excellent breakfast with desserts worthy of the best pastry shop. Mrs. Adele is a very English Lady.
I will definitely return.

Only had one night at Villa Anita. Adele is such a gracious host and the villa design is very intriguing and impressive. A welcome drink upon arrival and a very enjoyable breakfast.
The only suggestion for improvement is to put screens over the bedroom windows to keep out those mozzies.
Well done Adele.

Hospitality, conveniality and very good price / quality. Mother and son of the b&b make you feel welcome. I always come back here as no hotel can offer better! Close to the city and close to the highway you find a very nice little castle on a huge domain. Rooms are big and very nice. Breakfast is typically Italian and more than decent.

We stayed with Adele and Victorio for eight nights recently, using the Villa as a centrally located base for a more in depth exploration of the area. Reggio E. is a 30 to 45 minute drive from Modena (balsamic vinegar) to the East and Parma (ham) to the West. Bologna is and hours drive to the East, but we choose to take the local train, from the Reggio E train station to avoid driving and parking for a day; it only cost 6 euro for an all day parking ticket at the local station, and Bolongna (towers, tagliatelle, and t's) is a happening city, with multiple cultural activities, good food venues, university life, and FUN! Ravenna (Byzantine tiles) and Ferrera (castle and church)!are also an hour or two drive away. There are local choices of good restaurants, and Adele or Victorio are happy to make reservations, as necessary, and give you local driving advise.

The Villa itself is fantastic, and supports much wildlife, a rose garden, futbol field, small golf course, volleyball, ponds, and wooded areas, ripe for exploration. We spent at least two half days enjoying the Villa itself and its grounds. Adele spent time each morning at breakfast entertaining us with the history of her family and the Villa, which is only one of the family's properties. It seems as though the B&B is a hobby, and the helps to keep the family core strong.

We highly recommend staying at Villa Anita for those with leisure time, good driving skills, a sense of adventure, and the intention of exploring the Po River basin.

We spent 3 nights at Villa Anita. The B+B was recommended by a local journalist who we were meeting for a WW2 commemorative weekend in Albinea. The Villa is beautiful and very comfortable. We believe it was rebuilt in the 1980's to strict guidelines respecting the original house hence the narrow staircase and the small windows in the bedrooms. For a B+B forget your English expectations and enjoy huge, well appointed bedrooms, a delightful breakfast room and friendly hosts - we were looked after by Vittorio, who was extremely helpful and had the warmest smile. The bathrooms are on the small side but clean and functional. Anyone 6 ft and above will need to watch their heads as some of the beams in the bedrooms are a little low - you'll only bump them once!

It was not easy to find Villa Anita without directions provided by Signora Adele, however, once we drove through the wrought iron gates and the tree-lined driveway, saw the pheasants and the large imposing villa we knew we were on to something good. The property is a genuine villa that has been in the same family for 200 years, and was restored to magnificence when Signora Adele and her husband decided to live at the villa instead of keeping it as a holiday home. As you enter the beautiful atrium room we realised the picture on the internet does not do it justice. We were accommodated in the Fagianella room on the upper floors. Access is via a very narrow ancient set of steps, so don't take heavy oversize suitcases, unless you ask for a room in the newly-built annexe house within the property's park. Our room was large, with comfortable bed, antique furniture, wooden beams (you had to watch your head!), and tiny attic windows. The bathroom is also reasonably sized including the shower recess (for Italy), with toiletries, tissues and good hairdryer. We also loved the magazines in the room. Breakfast is in a beautifully decorated room with stripey green and rose coloured wallpaper, Venetian glass chandelier, antique furniture, fine china and cutlery. On offer are cereals, fruit, homemade cakes, yoghurt, juices and on request but no extra charge, English style bacon and eggs, or cheeses and cured meats. For dinner there are various restaurant options in a 20 minute drive radius. Early one morning we saw young deer and a hare in the property's park, which is a protected reserve area, whilst outside the walls hunting is permitted. We would definitely stay here again and once again enjoy Signora Adele's warm hospitality.

Recommend to everyone who, for some reason, is in Reggio Emila which is not the most interesting place in Italy.

Splendid little villa. The owner is inherited it from his father or mother, I believe. He is very welcoming and warm. Also very Italian in terms of how animated he is. :))
He does all the cleaning, cooking, housekeeping himself, as far as I understood.

P.S. I saw deer, rabbits, foxes and big wild birds on the premises.
