Detailed Reviews
This was the real and sadly ending old Italy. It is the most charming and authentic B&B we have stayed at. PINUCCIA who runs it alone is totally charming and the whole atmosphere is mid to late 20th century in character. It’s a beautiful palazzo in the best position in RE. We were completely charmed by everything. I do hope it can last forever!!!!

I stayed here for two weeks in 2013. Pina was a fantastic host and helped me with my Italian. I was in Reggio Emilia for language school and to research my family genealogy.
The location is fantastic. I'd look out my window in the morning and loved the view of the piazza and the market on market days.
I met many interesting people from all over the world. Some wanted to practice their English and then helped me with my Italian. I felt very much at home. I'd love to return.

This is a family B&B and the hosts are very welcoming. Rooms overlooking the piazza with the market and small bars in the evening. Just to relax and hear the murmur of italin on their evening walks. Back to our rooms with our own key and have the feeling of luxury!

The Del Vescovado Bed & Breakfast is a good place to stay when in Reggio Emilia. The hostess was fantastic and very helpful. It is close to the main street and numerous piazzas / markets. Breakfast was good with a selection of cheese, meat, bread and cereal. Eggs could be ordered. The room was spacious with a desk and a shared sitting room with comfortable seating.

Our group of 18 travelers took every room in the inn during a week spent learning about the Reggio approach to early childhood education. The fact that we were the sole guests made our stay extra special. Pinuccia, the proprietor could not have been more gracious and welcoming. She encouraged us to make ourselves at home, even to the point of being able to bring in cheese and wine from local markets and enjoy them in the lovely breakfast room at the end of our long days.
The location in the historic part of the city is superb. Many of our windows opened to the ancient piazza, where there is a market almost every day. Restaurants, wine bars and shops abound. The entire neighborhood is a delight to explore at all times of day and evening.
Rooms are spacious, simply furnished and very clean. Everyone found their beds to their liking. The daily breakfast was not luxurious but there was something for everyone. Coffee and tea were made individually for each person.
I hope I can stay with Pinuccia again. The homey, personal experience was very special.

This is a great B and B in the middle of Reggio, on a lovely piazza.
The rooms are really spacious and very clean, and the owners are very friendly...a gem of a place to stay!
I will definitely be returning here and recommending it to other family members who visit regularly.

+1
Reggio Friends forever! More than ten years is this our home for long week. Ones or twice a year we came here when we visited Reggio Emilia for school exchanges with the Liceo ITC Scaruffi Levi "Città del Tricolore". The B&B, in the lively hart of the lovely city, breathe a home feeling atmosphere by its interior and the hospitality of the family Bergamo. Between churches and wine bars, overlooking the daily marked and nearby the duomo. Have a look at the city webcam. Reggio Emilia, famous for the Reggio Children Education Centre is worth staying for its self and is a good starting point for visits to Parma, Bologna and the Po area. If possible we come back to eat the erbazzone, buy the Parmigiano Reggiano, see the lovely Parma ham and taste the old balsamico.

This B and B is situated in the medieval centre of the old town of Reggio Emilia ,literally overlooking the most perfect Piazza Prospero and is run by the most charming Italian lady you will ever meet! We were visiting our married daughter, who was actually married in Basillica St Prospero from here , and our room, overlooking the square is spacious, elegant and comfortable. Aperitios at Bar St Prospero are a must! Dinner there is fabulous, also Spaghetteria and the pizzeria in Ciaroli square are both lively and the food is delicious !We woke every morning, threw open the shutters and the triple glazing, so we could enjoy the sounds of the market preparing for the day and the sunshine bouncing off the terracotta coloured buildings across the square. After breakfast in another delightful room, overlooking the square,we wondered downstairs and into the street. In no time ,we were sipping cappuccinos in Torinasi ,a traditional cafe across the square. We have stayed with Pinuccia several times ,often with framily and friends, and we are always thrilled to return there.
