Booked for a business trip, certainly if I were to return to Reggio I would rebook this wonderful B&B. Large room, refined furnishings that make the location relaxing, well-kept and pleasant. Everything functional. Owner available, discreet and very kind. Breakfast in your room by choosing the time, plentiful and quality. Super recommended for those who want to carve out a pleasant relaxing stay in the centre. Convenient location, go down and find yourself in the center, the station can be reached on foot or by bus from a nearby stop. All perfect.

Excellent apartment in the center, clean, spacious and equipped with all comforts. The breakfast served in the room at the desired time by the owner, a helpful and courteous person, was also very good. We highly recommend!!!!!!

We stayed for three nights in this cozy b & b, located in an ancient building in the historic center of Reggio Emilia, equipped with all amenities ', elevator, air conditioning, basic kitchen. The owner and 'was very kind, since our arrival, prodigal advice for sightseeing' and always available. Breakfast is served in the room at the requested time the previous evening and is very rich. Absolutely recommended.

My son and I stayed just one night, we chose this B&B for its central location and for the beauty of the images in previous reviews. I am pleased to testify that it is a place that expresses care, beauty, warmth and elegance. The owner is a truly hospitable person who gave us lots of information. We had a perfect night's sleep. We were assigned a room on the 4th floor, with a lift. The keys to the door are given for autonomy. For parking, the license plate is registered in the dedicated portal and you can park in the restricted traffic zone. Thank you with all my heart!

Ok b&b is located in the historic center of Reggio Emilia, the rooms are nice and spacious, with exposed beams, mezzanines, small flights of stairs and corridors typical of such ancient buildings. The welcome is top, typical of those who care about their work. In fact, if style and kindness were a subject of study, Mr. Cantarelli would be a professor. Also worth mentioning is the robust breakfast, excellent for us who, working in the theatre, don't always have time for a lunch break. Highly recommended.

The B&B is very welcoming, a stone's throw (two in number!) from Via Emilia. Alberto, our host, welcomed and pampered us throughout our stay. An extraordinary person! If you are looking for a welcoming, central place from which you can move on foot, in a central but very quiet street, with a super host who gives you the right advice, who brings you a super breakfast in your room, well this is the place to go and where we will definitely return! 🩷

We received a great reception. The apartment is spacious, clean and furnished with flavor and taste. The bed is very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and spotless. Alberto was fabulous!!! Best host in Italy! He is very efficient and offers excellent advice about the area and what to see. He offered many excellent restaurants that we thoroughly enjoyed!
The apartment was clean, spacious, bright, secure, and about a 20 minute walk to the train that easily gets you to Parma, Modena & Bologna for day trips. The elevator & breakfast each morning was a delight!

I want to endorse wholeheartedly everything positive said in previous reviews and add some further observations. I'm a retired University Senior Lecturer in Italian and have lived, studied and worked in Italy. (Hopefully this is helpful.)
I stayed in this quite delightful B&B with my son and daughter-in-law. It offers a distinctive and authentic experience: the chance to get beneath the surface in a way you cannot achieve in a hotel. This is very much the merit of the the admirable owner, Alberto who quite simply could not be more solicitous about ensuring the success of your visit to his home and city.
He has furnished the rooms with antique furniture collected by his Father. I loved mine with its beams, high up among the tumbling tiled roofs. I knew I was back in Italy.
On arrival we parked the car just outside the central zone and made our way to the B&B. Alberto then accompanied us back to the car, brought us to a square beside his street, withdrew his own car from a parking space which he gave us for the duration together with a pass for access to the zone and free parking.
That quality of service characterised our every contact with him. His recommendations were impeccable, not least for places to eat. The food of course being quite splendid.
Reggio itself has a very pleasant atmosphere, folk are warm and helpful and there's a strong feeling of social responsibility. One evening the shops were open beyond midnight with music in the squares. Despite the crowds thronging the streets we saw no instances of trouble or even rowdy behaviour.
It would reward a visit and I'd thoroughly recommend the B&B Cantarelli as your base. Value for money it may well be unbeatable.
