Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

When I arrived, the place didn't impress me: a narrow and slightly dark entrance and a receptionist who wasn't rude, but a bit "curmudgeon", who in any case explained to me what there was to explain. The room was spacious, although with slightly dated furnishings and a mysterious compartment that perhaps had once housed a sink. Adequate cleaning. The pleasant surprise was the breakfast, which completely made up for the first impact. Excellent location, right in the historic center and very close to some excellent restaurants.

We walked here from the train station. The rooms were decent and clean. Nothing spectacular. Bathroom decent. Breakfast was good. Cereals fruits, juices along with the usual. Easy walk to downtown. Stayed here 3 nights. We spoke little Italian and they spoke little English but we managed.

Lovely time staying here. Only 10-15 minutes walk from the station and although I didn't explore much I noticed there was a Coin store just round the corner so looks like it's located in the centre. The man on reception (the owner?) took my case and showed me to my room, which was large and clean, and the air-con and wifi worked fine. Lots of surfaces which was great, large bathroom, and there's an extra toilet in the hotel corridor which is good if you're a couple and one of you's taking too long in the loo! Had a lie-in the next morning and didn't get up 'til 10, then heard the phone at half past and then the owner came knocking at my door checking if I wanted breakfast before he cleared it away. Would have been very annoying if I'd been asleep but it's not like it was really early like half 8 or something so it was actually very considerate of him! The next morning I came down to check out while the owner was hoovering; he put the hoover away and dedicated himself to serving me breakfast instead, putting my case aside while I went to the breakfast room and bringing me plates of pastries and a glass of orange juice and even made me hot chocolate. He is an excellent host and I really enjoyed my stay here, would recommend!

Room with broken toilet drain, told at reception, result? They didn't call anyone, they gave me a plastic basin! Broken air conditioning, no air came out of the split, it only made an annoying beeping noise, told at reception, result? Absolute royalism, I'm dying of heat! Towels? They only give you a large one that you have to do everything with and a bidet one. Pillow cover full of stains, table cloth in the room full of stains, radiators rusty and full of dust. I do not recommend and will not return.

They really catered to our needs; even though our communication was a little challenging. They were able to call taxis and bought special breakfast pastries for us! They also upgraded our room.
The room was nice and quiet with good view of local area.
The location provided a wealth of local cuisine! We walked to three fantastic restaurants; two family owned and one vegan/vegetarian.
This town was such fun; we canceled our day trip to Parma.
The WIFI and TV were a bit limited.

I stayed in this hotel with my father after the Rammstein concert at the campground.
We were greeted by the owner, very kind and really nice.
Our room was nice, spacious and above all clean, despite the heat we slept very well thanks to the air conditioner.
In the morning the breakfast was great, we recommend!
