Excellent impression from the beginning, that is, from when I made the reservation by telephone.
100% available; not to mention Mr Nicola Fontanesi, a fantastic person and always with a smile on his face. He stopped to talk to us, advising us where to have dinner and he hit the mark. Underground garage where you can park and above all it is located in the center, therefore a stone's throw from the historic center
Clean room and very well done bathroom (I even had a hydromassage tub). Breakfast with excellent quality products (tre Marie muffins) also very good sandwiches. Fair price.
Well, what can I say, when I return to Reggio Emilia, I will definitely stay at your facility again.
Thank you for your availability, kindness and hospitality

Stayed here one night on way back to Milan. Hotel is in excellent position for both the railway station and the town centre. Rooms comfy and homely. Quite a good selection at breakfast and very friendly staff, very helpful if you ask them directions etc. Would certainly stay here again.
Found a nice restaurant near by - go left out of hotel and down a little alleyway.

strategic place to visit Reggio Emilia; at the beginning of Via Emilia.
In five minutes walking you are in the city centre. Very near to the Rail Station (no need to take a cab, even with luggage!)
Comfortable place, clean, silent, good breakfast, nice and helping people at the reception.

Clean, friendly, just a real pleasure to spend time there. Only one criticism and that relates to recycling, that please don’t use plastic anything any more. If you stay there be sure to say hello to their marvellous hotel doggie and check out the fact that each room has a different and fascinating, classy design ( by the hoteliers mother)

I realized on my last visit that I first stayed at the hotel 15 years ago. More than a few visits later the five stars have not improved. They only have gotten better.

A recent remodel downstairs has made the dining room much nicer. Nicola and staff always make me feel like I’ve just come home.

This family run Hotel operates perfectly. Because of that, it is hard to get a booking. Great breakfast, great location, great people!

Just got back from a week at the Albergo Morandi where I stayed to attend a study week for early years educators. The hotel was lovely, clean and quirky with its various chandeliers. The staff were very attentive and friendly and nothing was too much to ask.
Breakfast was a lovely continental selection with something for everyones tastes. They even prepared breakfast early for us on our day of departure so that we could eat before leaving.
The rooms were cleaned daily and staff were happy to provide us with things such as extra pillows. The hotel has free wifi for every guest which was also a bonus.
The Albergo Morandi is located just at the start of the city centre walk and so it was close to all amenities but far enough away to be a peaceful place to stay. A lovely experience that I would happily repeat given the chance. Thank you to all of the staff team.

Having just returned from a week long stay at the Albergo Mornadi, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit the city. I stayed there whilst on a study week to the Pre-schools, the hotel was in a central location to the Loris Malaguzzi centre and the town centre. The hotel was really clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The owners especially made you feel very welcome in their hotel/city.

the Albergo Morandi is situated at walking distance from Reggio Emilia historical center. from outside it doesn't look anything special even though its recently been redecorated. The room we were given , a superior (lablu) was nicely decorated with wooden furniture and a very comfortable bed. The room itself is a bit tiny but for a couple of nights stay or if you're travelling on your own, its ok. The bathroom was really spacious, with a lovely shower jet and nice lighting. Breakfast is served on the ground floor and offers a selection of traditional sweet and savoury food from the area: sausage, Parma ham, home made cakes and bread. Staff is very friendly and speak fluent English. The hotel is also only five minutes walk from the city train station and has a underground carpark. The immediate area is quite safe at night, but still keep an eye for wandering drunks. I would definitely go back

I stayed here for 5 days while attending a gathering of educators at the Loris Malaguzzi Center. The hotel is an easy walk to the train station and the Malaguzzi Center, which is a plus for folks considering it as part of a Reggio Emilia Approach study group. Aside from that, it's a 10 minute walk to the center of town where most of the shops, bars, restaurants are. The street was quite desolate at night, but we were assured that it was safe to walk to and from the city center.

As for the hotel itself, the staff is warm, welcoming and helpful. Everyone spoke at least a bit of English and was more than patient with my limited Italian language skills. The room was spacious and nicely designed. Unfortunately, it was also infested with mosquitoes. I didn't get a good night's sleep the entire week because I was constantly awakened to the sound of buzzing and the feel of being bitten. I perfected the art of killing them, but even with all the windows closed, they just kept coming. Also, the room had the most uncomfortable bed and pillow I've ever experienced. Strangely, the hallways of the hotel were not lit at night. I had to turn lights on when coming and going, which was a little creepy late at night. Despite supposedly being smoke-free, the hallways and lobby reeked of cigarette smoke.

All in all, depending on where you'll be spending your time in Reggio Emilia and how tolerant you are of mosquitoes and rock-hard beds, this may or may not be a good place for you.

I could go on all day about the attention, expertise and patience! Each face in the place was welcoming, helpful and kind. I loved the peach tea and Nicola recognized this; when he went to the market, he bought me a box! Francesca called Milan for me and was put on hold; she was very patient. Julia helped us make dinner reservations and her recommendation was superb! The young Filipino man was enthusiastic and informative. The cleaning team was super efficient, polite and respectful. Great job team!!!
