100% available; not to mention Mr Nicola Fontanesi, a fantastic person and always with a smile on his face. He stopped to talk to us, advising us where to have dinner and he hit the mark. Underground garage where you can park and above all it is located in the center, therefore a stone's throw from the historic center
Clean room and very well done bathroom (I even had a hydromassage tub). Breakfast with excellent quality products (tre Marie muffins) also very good sandwiches. Fair price.
Well, what can I say, when I return to Reggio Emilia, I will definitely stay at your facility again.
Thank you for your availability, kindness and hospitality
Found a nice restaurant near by - go left out of hotel and down a little alleyway.
In five minutes walking you are in the city centre. Very near to the Rail Station (no need to take a cab, even with luggage!)
Comfortable place, clean, silent, good breakfast, nice and helping people at the reception.
A recent remodel downstairs has made the dining room much nicer. Nicola and staff always make me feel like I’ve just come home.
This family run Hotel operates perfectly. Because of that, it is hard to get a booking. Great breakfast, great location, great people!
Breakfast was a lovely continental selection with something for everyones tastes. They even prepared breakfast early for us on our day of departure so that we could eat before leaving.
The rooms were cleaned daily and staff were happy to provide us with things such as extra pillows. The hotel has free wifi for every guest which was also a bonus.
The Albergo Morandi is located just at the start of the city centre walk and so it was close to all amenities but far enough away to be a peaceful place to stay. A lovely experience that I would happily repeat given the chance. Thank you to all of the staff team.
As for the hotel itself, the staff is warm, welcoming and helpful. Everyone spoke at least a bit of English and was more than patient with my limited Italian language skills. The room was spacious and nicely designed. Unfortunately, it was also infested with mosquitoes. I didn't get a good night's sleep the entire week because I was constantly awakened to the sound of buzzing and the feel of being bitten. I perfected the art of killing them, but even with all the windows closed, they just kept coming. Also, the room had the most uncomfortable bed and pillow I've ever experienced. Strangely, the hallways of the hotel were not lit at night. I had to turn lights on when coming and going, which was a little creepy late at night. Despite supposedly being smoke-free, the hallways and lobby reeked of cigarette smoke.
All in all, depending on where you'll be spending your time in Reggio Emilia and how tolerant you are of mosquitoes and rock-hard beds, this may or may not be a good place for you.
"I prefer a room on a upper floor. Back side is nice... but does not matter... they are all ok. You can walk to train from the hotel with light bags. For big bags take taxi."Read full review
"The room on the 2nd floor closest to the lift for friends/colleagues travelling together"Read full review
"It was very hot for the week I was there in April which is very unusual I was on 3rd floor try ,but it was on the back side of away from Main Street and the windows opened up and I loved the penguin that would "cooh"at my window."Read full review
