Villa Cimbrone Hotel, located high above the Amalfi coast in the town of Ravello, is that special hotel you are always hoping for but seldom find. The property is an old (11th century) estate with beautiful facilities and gardens. Our room was large and very comfortable with an amazing view. The staff and service was excellent. One young woman even...

Wonderful stay in this luxury hotel. Firm bed with beautiful, starched linen sheets, no cost mini bar, excellent full fare breakfast (including fabulous homemade yogurt and jams), spectacular view of the coast (see photo) and VERY ATTENTIVE staff. The facility is old but reasonably updated so there is air conditioning, although in May we didn't need it because we had...

We couldn't have been happier with our stay at Villa Cimbrone. The first time we climbed the stairs through the town to to hotel to check in, I admit we wondered if we'd made a mistake as it took 10 minutes or more of almost constant stair climbing from where we had to leave our car to get there and...

This hotel has one of the most awesome locations in Italy, hundreds of feet above the sea with commanding views in all directions of the dramatic Amalfi Coast and mountains behind. We stayed for two days in off-peak season so the hotel was quiet, but the gardens were crowded during the day with paying (€7) tourists (free and accessible at...

We had a great stay here for 3 nights. The rooms were perfect (24 recommended). The reading rooms were stunning as were the balconies. The private gardens and pool were also excellent. This place is expensive so be prepared. The one thing they haven't quite got right is the service. They are trying to be 5 star but keep missing...

The Villa Cimbrone was simply breath taking. The hotel was fantastic and location was to die for, the views were amazing and the service and food was outstanding, I could not fault this place and would happily go again. My only negative observation is that getting to the hotel would be difficult fort hose with disabilities or elderly.

While touring the beautiful gardens of the Villa Cimbrone, we stopped at the hotel with group six for a beer and wine break. The outdoor seating area was very pleasant with a beautiful view. The service was friendly and efficient. Overall, we had delightful visit.

Beautiful views. A 5min walk away through the park to the terrace of infinity which looks out to the ocean. Lots of walking space with well laid out trees and pathways. The entrance to the park if free for guests staying in the villa. The rooms are slightly old fashioned but quaint and clean and comfortable. Slippers and bathrobes are...

My family and I had a simply stunning stay here in July 2011. I'm surprised by reviews about the service, since ours was wonderful. It's worth noting that what you're paying for is not the very nice rooms themselves, but the Place. It's right on top of the mountain that Ravello sits on, and its grounds look over Amalfi. The...

We had what must be the worst room with a view of a tree - which we were not allowed to see once the room service was there to make up the beds, as she closed the window with a key - end of story. Nice shower, but mini TV. Not really 5 star standard. We were part of a...
