We loved this beautiful house with its special atmosphere and very welcoming young hostess, an accomplished artist who was delightfully open and spontaneous with guests. It is a gem of a place, perfectly situated in Ragusa, and our stay there was memorable because of the unusual combination of personal warmth and very elegant surroundings.

We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful elegant B & B. The rooms are large and well furnished with old antique furniture. Not just the bedrooms but other rooms to be in or look at. All around are artworks. from all around the world. The views are to die for and we had a balcony too. The B & B... More

We have just spent 3 nights in this beautiful Palazzo. My husband & I stayed in the Suite dei Merletti & my sister stayed in the Suite dei Gelsomini. Both were excellent with balconies overlooking the cathedral & the beautiful square. The accommodation is spotlessly clean & the daily cleaning is done to a very high standard. Bottled water is... The accommodation was very clean , quiet and had a very calm peaceful atmosphere despite being close to the centre. The bedroom was spacious with a lovely view over the garden. Erminia and her mother were very hospitable and considerate.

We stayed here for three nights in a wonderful suite. Ermenia and her mother are charming, very friendly and helpful. The breakfast each day was delicious, with a special treat each morning. We enjoyed spending time at the café opposite the Palazzo, and the local recommended restaurants were very good.

This was our second stay at Palazzo Castro and while generally sceptical of ratings its No1 is richly deserved here in what is a really magical little village, I will leave the Gelati to others to recommend as their pistachio barely lasts an evening as it is! On our first stay in July 2014 Lucia could not be more helpful... More

B and B Palazzo Castro al Duomo is located in a beautiful old building next to the Duomo in Ragusa Ibla. The hostess, Erminia, is warm and welcoming, and the breakfast always features fresh bread and cheese, cereal and yogurt, plus something "extra" -- home made pastries, perhaps. The town of Ragusa ibla is impossibly cute, with compact houses climbing... More

This really comfortable and accommodating B&B was one of the highlights of our stay in Sicily as Erminia and her mother made us fell so welcome and at home. The place was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortably furnished and the breakfast was super. Afficionados of the TV series "Montalbano" will, of course, delight in staying right on top of one... This spot is truly charming: the ancient palazzo in the shadow of the magnificent baroque duomo provides a haven of genteel calm with its tastefully decorated rooms (ours had a hand painted ceiling and ancient decorated tiles on the floor) and is an ideal base from which to explore Ragusa. But what makes this place special is the warm and... More

no need to repeat the previous reviews, since all is correct: perfect location (and nicely warm on a chilly night outside), lovely hosts, amazing breakfast. The palazzo takes you back in time and is a unique backdrop for your holidays. We'll cherish the souvenirs and hope to be back soon.
