We drove to Ragusa from Taormina via Piazza Armenian and we encountered a few 'directional' problems on the way not least on arrival in Ragusa as one of the access roads into the street was being repaired. Once parked (not easy) it was a joy to arrive into the beautiful Villa and be greeted so warmly by Antonio. Our rooms...

I was living in the hotel with my family for three weeks and I could not be more spoil by the staff. They treat us as family, everything was fantastic. My kids (7 and 4) were like their own kids, every morning in the breakfast the ladies were with them, taking care of them... The staff was extremely kind with...

In an old building, nicely renovated. Located in Upper Ragusa, easy walk to many good restaurants and shops. More of a hike to the older part of town in Lower Ragusa, but okay for good walkers. Spacious rooms, but small baths and tiny shower (smaller than a phone booth). No wash cloths. Electric goes off in room without key in...

In the historic part of Ragusa, you cannot build a new hotel so the hotels that are here had to remodel existing structures without changing interior walls. This hotel changed a luxurious antique villa into a modern hotel. Rooms are different sizes but room 212 is huge, bigger than many 1 bedroom apartments. It has a bedroom a large sitting...

We stayed on the second floor and enjoyed the hotel very much. The room, which overlooked the garden in the rear, was spacious, although the bathroom was very small. It is easy to walk to everything. If the stairs to the lower city are too much, you can take a bus or taxi.

To stay at the Villa del Lauro, you need to be fit, especially if your room is on the second floor. The steps are steep, and there is no lift. To go or return to the hotel, you will have a steep climb. Our room on the second floor, a junior suite, was spacious (good) but rather soulless. Our terrace overlooking...

This is a really lovely hotel. We stayed in a super nice room (not too big, but very comfy and clean), with a beautiful view on the inner garden and pool. Very quiet. Delicious breakfast, served in the patio overlooking the inner garden. Very good location to visit both Ragusa and Ibla. And the pool was a fresh escape that...

What a find this hotel is, tucked away in a quaint residential street of Baroque style houses. Look out for the signs to the Villa as you negotiate the crazy roads and local drivers of Ragusa. Once you find the Villa, jump out and the lovely staff on reception will give you a local parking permit. Parking is a valued...

If you want to be in Ragusa Superiore I recommend this hotel. My top reason for my recommendation is the gracious and accommodating staff. They couldn't have been more helpful when we arrived early and when we sought tourist advice or directions. The furnishings are really smart and the renovations to this historic town house make this is a relaxing,...

The hotel is updated. The location is excellent. The garden is lovely. The staff helpful. Breakfast is good-especially the made to order coffee. That said. Our room (No.3 on the main floor) was dreadful. This main floor was at one time a stable and root cellar. The cave like atmosphere has some charm in the lobby - as the white...
