We had a great time at this hotel, the staff were very helpful, the restaurant superb, they even adjusted the menu to fit in with your taste. The rooms and terrace were very picturesque overlooking the sea . All in all a lovely hotel ran...More
We stayed here for 4 nights, 5 days in September of 2017. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Upon arriving, they got us into our room right away. Unlike most hotels in the Amalfi Coast, there are zero stairs to climb to get...More
When we first walked into our room, we were disappointed by the spartan decor. But once we got over our initial letdown, we came to appreciate all this property had to offer: Breathtaking views of the Mediterranean, pristeen cleanliness and the warm, helpful staff. Best...More
Although you're on the Main Street, you wouldn't know with the peace and tranquility! Make sure to book a room on top floor for the best sea views! Hotel is very clean. Free parking which is very handy! 10min walk to Praino.
This family-run bed and breakfast is an excellent place to stay on the Amalfi Coast. I chose Praiano because it is a smaller, less touristy town. It was perfect! Our room had a big double door that opened onto a balcony overlooking the ocean. Breathtaking...More

Yes, it really is a delightful place. The owners are very hospitable and will do everything they can to make your stay comfortable. They do have a lovely restaurant that serves breakfast (included), lunch and dinner. The food was very good. We walked down the road a bit to have dinner at another place one night. Go to Trip Advisor to find the top dining places nearby. Open Gate sits high on a cliff overlooking the ocean. You can walk to the beach, but be prepared for a long walk down and even longer walk back UPHILL! You have to go about a mile down the road to get to the path down to the beach. We walked down, but not all the way to the beach. Nice walk. The beach is very tiny. Check out the old Roman Tower where an artist, Paolo Sandulli lives and works. Amazing! I chose Praiano to stay because it is not as touristy. I am so glad I did. Driving on the Amalfi Coast road is also quite an adventure, but fun!
I hope you enjoy your trip. Such a gorgeous place to be!
