My friends and I had been recommended this accommodation as a affordable place to stay with a lovely host. The room exceeded our expectations.. yes, basic but with character, a gorgeous roof terrace and views from the dining room over Positano that are second to none! I can't speak highly enough of Carlo, he is simply the loveliest, most helpful...

This guide book find was a terrific value. The guest rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable. The common room included a kitchen area with a refrigerator, very convenient for breakfast and picnic fixings. The owner, Carlo, was so friendly and accommodating that we felt like we were staying with family. The location of this pensione could not be beat -...

We stayed at Pensione Maria Luisa for 3 nights - we had great time. Rooms are very basic - no supplies or tv, very minimal bedding and very thin, small towels. However, this is all made up for my the host, Carlo, and his kind, sweet and caring approach, the amazing views from the balconies and the awesome dining room...

Our family of four rented two rooms and stayed three nights at this pensione. It was perfect for us. Our two teenagers stayed in one room and my wife and I stayed in the other. This is a moderately priced property and is very good value for the price. The rooms are standard, clean and the bathrooms more than adequate....

Could not help myself after seeing the earlier review. Nothing worse than a TA contributor saying a place is bad when they have not stayed. The owner is so helpful, the place is full of charm, and this is the service you want as a gracious traveller.

Have just read the review before ours. Carlo's English is best face to face, or in writing. Email is definately the best way to confirm things, not by phone. We took advantage of the 70 euro car transfer they now offer from Naples. Worth every cent! Naples is hideous so it was very reassuring to be picked up straight outside...

Carlo Milo is a wonderful host and a lovely gentleman; super friendly and helpful. We're in our 40s/50s and loved this place. We found it in Lonely Planet, and booked very early to ensure we got a terrace room. Well worth the planning! It was the first week in June, and the coast was SWARMING with holiday makers so our...

This pension is located on the quieter side of Positano which is a positive as it has more locals, is tranquill and has the better beach. Still lots of restaurants on this side and only a 20 min walk to the touristy part of town (not much in the touristy part, can be seen in 30 mins - the beauty...

I booked here because of the reviews on Tripadvisor and so glad I did. Fantastic value for a terrace view room. The view is what it is all about in this gorgeous part of the world. The accommodation is basic, the water pressure was hopeless but clean and comfortable...and the terrace! Loved it. It is located on the quieter side...

We throughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Pensione Maria Luisa. Basic accommodation with no frills, but all you need is a bed and a friendly place to rest in this gorgeous coastal town. There is no breakfast provided, you do it all yourself but buying whatever takes your fancy at the local store. There is a communal eating area...
