Lovely place, more of a home rather than just a hotel. Very personable, not anonymous, small (less than 10 rooms I would guess). The hosts really take care of the guests. Family run. The room was comfortable with a balcony and private bathroom. Location: High above Positano, therefore a lot less busy and really relaxing and with absolutely breathtaking views....

We visited Colle dell'Ara for one night at the end of our stay in Positano as our original bnb was booked out on the last night of our stay. We are very glad in the end that this was the case! We found the whole experience at Colle dell'Ara just blissful! The who place, including beds, bathroom, staff, breakfast and...

We visited Colle dell'Ara for three nights and found everything to be so perfect! The view was amazing as was the hospitality. Rooms were clean and comfortable. It was a bit of a hike up to the front door but we didn't mind at all, it was completely worth it! We will definitely book again when we're back in Positano!

Amazing bed and breakfast in the hills above Positano. Pasquale, the owner, was extremely helpful and treated us like family. This place has beautiful views, beautiful property, and friendly people. Stay here if you are interested in something off the beaten track, it is amazing!

Lovely little spot with friendly hosts. Located at the highest point of Positano--they don't call it the vertical city for nothing--you'll set some serious walking/climbing stairs in! Room was very comfortable--my bathroom was located outside my room but it was private, not shared, I know other rooms had connected bathrooms so be sure to ask. The view from the room...

we stayed in the annex, which was wonderful, large spotless room, well appointed clean bathroom and terrace with fabulous view over valley and the sea. very private and quiet. oddly the communal eating area and commercial kitchen where they teach cooking classes was dirty which was a mismatch with squeaky clean room. different house keepers maybe? we couldn't walk barefoot...

Words cant explain how beautiful this property is. Dont stay in Positano, stay here. Truly unbelievable. The views, access to walks and the rooms are all incredible. We could not have been happier. The walk of the gods is a highlight and only 15 min walk

Incredible spot- we had just the best time. We were in the "annex", which prior reviews had said was a far walk... but it was only a 5 min walk- flat- from the parking area, no problem at all, and a beautiful spot, beautiful view, excellent spot to hike from, we could not be happier. The host didn't speak much...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights and we just wish it had been for longer! A great B&B with an incredible view of Positano and the surrounding scenery. The hospitality was very good and we were given every opportunity to experience the area with great options by the B&B. The best being the 5 course dinner with...

Joe and I stayed at Casa Mariagrazia for our honeymoon and it was incredible!! Before arriving I was worried about accessibility because we weren’t staying right in Positano, but this was never a problem. We were happy to stay up and away from the busy, touristy streets of Positano with the incredible view below. There’s a bus that comes hourly,...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Colle dell'ara is not a hotel. Staying with us, in our home, means treating yourself to a rare experience. We are in Positano, in the small village of Montepertuso, located just above this corner of paradise on the Amalfi Coast. The building is situated on top of the hill and can be reached on foot in 5-6 minutes through an ancient path, fully illuminated at night. We are Pasquale and Giacomo, who with the help of our father Michele, a few years ago we decided to undertake this activity which constantly is giving us the opportunity to convey to our guests our main passions for hospitality and good food. These passions, well-established in our coastal land and agriculture, allowing us to constantly reinvent the offer to our guests dedicated, basing it on availability and seasonality values. We host you in rooms equipped with private bathroom and balcony overlooking the sea of Positano between the islands of Capri and Li Galli. Each room has a large double bed (with the possibility of adding a single bed), and are equipped with linens, towels and toiletries. Free wi-fi connection is working in all our spaces. We provide you with keys for your independent access at every time. Upon your arrival you will find free parking slots along the road and we'll help you carry your luggage with a special pulling system. We will assist you from beginning, accompanying you throughout whole of your stay suggesting you the best local amenities including activities from ourselves offered. You will have here the opportunity to experience our land through different activities such us farming excursions and local cooking classes (events organized on reservation). We always include breakfast, different every day and based on availability of our gardens, or made by the breads and cakes that we daily prepare. The center of Positano is reachable by bus in 20 minutes or 35-40 minutes through a centuries-long staircase. For trekking lovers, our structure is directly related to the main paths of Monti Lattari and the most famous Walkpath of God. However, we are located at the center of several important location like Pompei, Capri, Amalfi, Ravello and Sorrento, reachable by ferry, bus or car. Nearby you will find shops and restaurants. ... more   less
