This hotel was on the Duomo square. We had a small room situated at the back, so was very quiet. There was a lovely comfortable large bed and there were excellent facilities - all to a high standard. The property was deceptive as it was very old from the outside, but beautifully designed inside and included a small lift. The...

We had a room with two twin beds. Very comfortable. Bathroom was small but adequate. Wifi worked well. Hotel staff were all very helpful. We were able to park across the piazza from the hotel and duomo at a very short distance, for about 10euro for the duration of our stay. Breakfast was included at the lower level of the...

We stayed two nights. Although we did not book a room facing on to the Duomo, we were given one. At night the view out is magical - and it is quiet. Our room was excellent - quiet modern decor, clean, a comfortable bed, good wifi, excellent bathroom. The room was not large, but not small either - perfectly adequate!...

We stayed here on the strength of TripAdvisor reviews and I must say we are a little disappointed certainly central and clean, rooms are plain but comfy, breakfast was poor as too was the coffee if you can't get a good coffee in Italy theres something wrong. At 130euros a night it was a lot for what we got, we...

A one night visit and a lost cell phone for one of our group - the hotel staff went out of there way to track us down and help find a way to get the phone back to the rightful owner! Personal service and super friendly staff! Great place and would definitely stay there again if ever back in Orvieto.

On our recent three week trip to Italy, we made a last minute decision to spend a night in Orvieto (wish we had planned several nights). We managed to get the last room at Hotel Virgilio, which was, as the hotel said, small. However, the room was certainly adequate and the hotel's location and service MORE than made up for...

Decent sizes single room facing the duomo, with a view to die for! 24 hour reception is lovely - great service and it feels safe and secure. Typical italian breakfast table with plenty of choice. I appreciated the addition of a toaster and butter. This is a good location for single lady travelers - Orvieto is a safe town, and...

The Hotel Vigilio is ideally situated for a visit to Orvieto. The location is right on the piazza facing the Duomo and the hotel is surrounded by cafés and restaurants. The inside of the hotel looks like it has been recently renovated and whilst the exterior blends with the older buildings on the piazza, the interior public areas and rooms...

Hotel Virgilio has everything you could want--great location; clean, modern rooms; friendly, helpful staff and a small patio in front for coffee or a drink overlooking the Duomo. There are many shops nearby, especially for ceramics and Orvieto wines. Several museums are just a short walk away. We highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent central location for a visit to Orvieto which is a lovely town in a nice rural setting. The hotel is located right next to the piazza Duomo and although a pedestrian area you can drive your car right across it to the hotel to drop off bags. Reception then advise where to park which is...
