Had a lovely stay at this hotel, so lovely that we had extended out holiday. Room was clean, functional. Bathroom was modern, and clean. Air conditioner was "iffy" thou. It seemed to be run by one family and it definately had a feel of home with beautiful art in the stairway area. The location was very handy, just make sure...

Well to start positively the hotel has a good location near the train station of Mestre so it is very convenient to travel to Venice (train runs each 10-15 min). Other positive thing is that wireless is included in the price. Now the reality - despite the staff are very nice (owned by Chinease family), they cannot speak a word...

Worst Hotel Ever! Looks fine but when you close the door and sleep, molding bed stinks, bathroom door moldy, black mold that made me vomit. did not sleep a wink while in the room, I asked for help, but hotel staff does not speak English, speaks minimal Italian, speaks Shanghainese (not even Mandarin)! Freak out. Hotel facade looks clean and...

The big Venice railway station Mestre is the stopping point to disembark, walk out cross the road and the street right in front of you is the location for the Cortina. I had a room on the 1st floor, overlooking the small courtyard and street. WIFI is included in the deal, access by password. Useful. The room was a decent...

I stayed one night in this hotel when travelling from Malta to Ljubljana. The Ryanair flight came to Venice about 10 p.m., the train to Ljubljana left next day about 4 p.m. I had searched for affordable accomodation in Venice Mestre (10min by train from main train station St. Lucia in Venice), and found this hotel completely by accident on...

“Decided to stay in Mestre instead of going into Venice (Islands) and found this gem - well worth the train ride into Venice for value, savings, and comfort. Just steps from train station BUT very quiet.”

“Ask for a room at the back! There is a little souvenir shop in a Tabacchi further down the street opposite side -on a corner). Their Murano glass is quite a lot cheaper then in Murano (owner also has a factory) and they were very honest pointing out the Chinese glass (fake) from the original. The lady serving spoke very good English and was very helpful and left us to choose and take our time! We ended up buying most of our Venice souvenirs there!”
