There's nothing wrong with this place as such, but they are rooms away from any actual hotel so you dont feel like you are part of anything. You feel a bit dumped and on your own. The staff, what very little we saw of them, helped when asked but didnt put themselves out or extend a welcome, as such. They...

If you are driving, it's difficult to find a spot to park to check in. You might have to follow the signs to public parking away from the lake and walk there. Eventually you find it and the reception desk, which is basically in the bar area of the restaurant, but on the opposite side from the main plaza. Parking...

This nice and cozy hotel will challenge you with some quests. First of all you need to find the reception in the hotel “Du Lac”. The staff there is very helpful and welcoming. There is a garage. It is also not so easy to find, but on reception they will show a short movie how to find the garage. It...

The room is very nice and fresh with elevator access. The location is excellent being a few steps off the main piazza. There's locked covered parking 200m up the next alley, which is a bit of a walk, but hey there's parking. WiFi is horribly slow! Staff seem a bit sour, Their breakfast is at hotel du lac bar and...

Excellent rooms on the second floor of the annexe to the Hotel du Lac. Our balconies looked out over the stunning view of Lake Como. Our bed was very comfortable with crisp white cotton bedlinen and the ensuite facilities were excellent. Our linen and towels were changed regularly. Staff were very friendly. The wifi worked perfectly. Any queries we had...

Three families of 4 from Melbourne Australia stayed here for 3 nights during late July 2013. The earlier reviews had cast some doubt but I think a lot has changed since they were written. All 3 rooms were stunning although they did differ in size. Each had air con and a beautiful bathroom. Location was great. Our room overlooked the...

La Dependance was clean, comfortable and the staff were friendly. Sharing a bathroom (there are 2 bathrooms between 5 rooms) was not too much of a problem. It's probably better value if there are more than two of you sharing a room - my partner and I shared a double room for 80 euros a night, which I found a...

Our family (of 5) stayed in this hotel and had a room overlooking the main square of Menaggio. Our view included the square and the lake and couldn't have been better. The drawback was that without airconditioning, we had to leave windows open and therefore hear all the noise of people in the square till all hours of the night....

Nice guest house with a beautiful location. It is an annex of the Hotel du Lac in Menaggio. I normally stay away from community bathrooms, but the two here were very nice. Price is pretty good for the area. Room was reasonable with no frills except for a beautiful view (sometimes you don't need much else). After receiving a reservation...

“Having not seen other rooms, I don't feel qualified to answer. We had booked 2 double rooms with ensuite facilities with a note that they be "quiet rooms". However, noise was not an issue. We travelled in September, the church bells stopped ringing at an early hour, the piazza was traffic free and really there was no noise outside during the night so we could have our balcony door open.”
