We got one of the high end room with a great balcony overlooking the lake. Very beautiful. Only gripe is that there was no privacy from the adjoining rooms. The breakfast was average and I can't understand why you have to book your evening meal in the morning. The choice is limited and yet there are so many places to...

This Hotel/Spa is a place for relaxation. Well located in Lago di Garda. Close to Malcesine where you can walk in 20 -30 minutes along the lake. It has a very nice Spa, with indoor pool, exterior pool and a dock from where you can dive and swim into the cool waters of the lake. The rooms are spacious and...

We booked our Honeymoon in the lovely resort of Malcesine in Lake Garda. I did quite a lot of research on both Malcesine and the Hotel as "Lake Garda" can prove a bit of a mine field with so many different villages and resorts sitting on the lake. In Malcesine we got everything we were looking for. It is an...

We stayed in July 2014. It is supposedly a five start hotel, but perhaps if you like staying at a standard Holiday Inn, otherwise, by normal standards this is a two star hotel. The "beach" is a small 30-40 foot half circle of gravel that can be used by non-hotel guests. The rooms are very basic and far from luxurious....

Good hotel, excellent breakfast, spotlessly clean (except the shower heads), great pools, lovely scenery. The walk to the main town is very scenic alongside the lake, great views of the other side. The walk takes about 30 minutes in all. We did use the Tourist Bus for €1.20 which saved our legs in the evening. Our stay at Maximilian was...

We stayed at the Maximilian for two weeks in August 2014 for our honeymoon. The junior suite room was lovely and spacious with an indulgent bathroom and excellent view of the lake. We used the spa facilities which were very good value for money. The best things about this hotel are the staff, and the food. All of the staff...

Just back from ten days at the Hotel Maximilian on Lake Garda. We drove from France and while checking in, the receptionist (all of whom were delightful and smiling) explained we could park securely (gate to the property has a code) just under the trees really close to our room. Despite this she left the desk to come out and...

Fantastic views over the lake were just part of this wonderful experience. All the reviews we saw were spot on. The staff could not do enough to make our stay very comfortable, the rooms were kept spotlessly clean, the food was excellent and the surroundings very pleasant. Oh the weather for our 8 days was just brilliant so the walk...

Like most people, I looked at tripadvisor for inspiration and a bit of knowledge before booking the maximmilian. Most reviews were excellent and the odd slightly negative one. Here is my view of Hotel maximillian. My Wife and I booked through Topflight to spend a week in the Maximillian to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary.Good flight from Belfast city to...
