HOTEL EUROPA **** CAMAIORE. The Cardinal Villa, Hotel Europa (4 stars), was built in 1880 in Lido di Camaiore, Versilia (Tuscany), 20 meters from the Tirreno coastline. In the year 2000 the hotel had initiated a modernization process that converted the building to become a splendid Liberty Villa, with all the comforts necessary to guarantee first-class customer service. On the shoulder of the Versilia Riveria lies, in all its magnificence, the Alpi Appuane mountain range that in coexistence with the Tirreno coastline offers countless beauties founded by nature and human intervention. An extraordinary environmental and landscape scenario full of cultural and historical assets, to which its heredity, Hotel Europa also fits. From the hotel it is possible to visit important cultural cities such as Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Siena…. Hotel Europa has 30 rooms each with its own unique particularities. The furniture and fittings are very refined and all rooms are equipped with all services and comforts expected from a four star hotel: air-conditioning, TV, telephone, hairdryer, minibar and safe. For beach lovers Hotel Europa offers an external discounted beach facility. The hotel has a homely atmosphere with a modern dining room, bar, TV room, free Internet / WI-FI access, swimming pool with jacuzzi, sauna, bicycle hire and free internal parking.

A lovely, beautiful hotel with fantastic wonderful staff led by the amazing Luciano who is so hard working and never stops. Only a couple of minutes from the sea front amazing breakfast in a beautiful setting right by the pool . Free safe and air conditioning if you fancy a stay in highly stylish Tuscany I would highly recommend.

We stayed here for 6 nights beginning August and had a great stay. Our room was very clean, comfy bed and excellent air con. Great choice for breakfast and fresh fruit every day. We often had lunch at the hotel as well which was lovey and very fresh. There was always free beds round the pool which were very comfy.
Thank you Ron with your wealth of knowledge and serving the beers at 4pm. Thank you Vicky we miss you and can’t wait to come back again.

I stayed for 7 nights, with my partner and our 3 year old. The hotel is run by South Africans (an advantage as they obviously speak English), with the most attentive and professional Italian staff I have ever come across.

We had a triple room, which was larger than average with a large comfortable bed and the extra bed was a decent sprung mattress sofa bed. Although there was no bath, the shower was a large walk in and worked really well.

Breakfast was a buffett, with lots of different choices - and all were available whether you ate first or last.

All the areas were clean and recently modernised. The hotel is elegant and class, in a beautiful setting, but has a lovely relaxed and informal feel. All in all, our stay was excellent and I couldnt have asked for more.

What a pleasant surprise Hotel Europa and Lido di Camoire were.
We arrived late due to a car accident driving from Rome to the hotel.
Hakim, the manager on duty that evening couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. He went out of his way making us feel welcome and making phone calls to the local Hertz agency for me. He even provided his cell number to me on his day off in the event that he could provide any assistance.

Our kids jumped into the pool and couldn't have been happier after 4 days in Rome. The pool area is very nice; We chose to have dinner at the hotel that evening -- excellent choice. The food was excellent; staples of Italian cuisine. Service very good.

We stayed in a room which was big enough for our family of 4 which had a private terrace overlooking the front of the hotel and the beach in the distance.

Lido di Camoire is certainly a busy seaside resort but the strip of restaurants, gelaterias and stores along the beach make for a pleasant evening stroll. This is an excellent jumping off point for Lucca as well as Pisa. Lucca with its wide walls encircling the city was a great opportunity to rent some bikes and ride both on the wall and in the city. The kids insisted on Pisa, but the time would be better spent sitting on the beach.

All individuals in the hotel were very helpful whenever you asked them a question. Breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, fresh pastries and rolls, meats and cheeses. They will also make fresh eggs for you if you ask.

Wished we could have spent more time at the Hotel Europa -- as Hakim said "you should think of it less as a hotel, but more like your private villa".

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a week's stay at the Europa and were very happy with the quality of the hotel and service received. Right from our initial booking, the staff were friendly and helpful - my e-mails were answered promptly and phone calls dealt with politely - their English is very good. They arranged for our taxi transfers from Pisa to the hotel, double-checking a couple of days before to confirm our flight details. Rooms were cool (with air-conditioning), clean and comfortable, and the hotel as a whole is very pleasant.

There was an excellent selection of continental breakfast items - plenty and varied fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and croissants, as well as meat, cheese and bread with toasting facilities.

The Europa is situated near to many facilities which we found very useful. There is a bank (with cashpoint) just along the road, a bakery and fruit shop across the road (handy to stock up with goodies to take to the beach with you), and a bus-stop by the bank with various routes that take you to Forte dei Marmi and Lucca amongst others. The beach is a five-minute walk away. (We used the Diva beach club, about half-way along the beach, which again we would recommend to any visitors. This seemed the most tastefully decorated beach club with a delightful bamboo bar and lovely gardens - we saw beautiful hummingbirds in their flowers! The staff were lovely too.)

Although the hotel is in Lido di Camaiore, Viareggio is just a short walk away, just along the road and over a bridge. We enjoyed Viareggio's promenade, shops and bars, but preferred Lido's beach, so the Europa was ideally situated for both.

We asked about trips out and we were advised accordingly. The charming lady on reception gave us details of the bus to Forte dei Marmi, and sorted out an early morning taxi to Viareggio so we could go on the Cinque Terre boat trip.

The hotel has a pool and sunloungers, as well as wicker chairs and sofa where you can sit and relax peacefully. There was a little noise from the traffic on the road, but it wasn't too bad.

We dined there one night, and we sat outside which was very pleasant. The outside as well as the interior of the hotel is well-kept, with large palm-trees, pretty pots of flowers and attractive lighting at night. I am vegetarian, and they kindly made me an omelette and salad specially although it was not on their menu.

All the staff were so welcoming and pleasant to us and we would not hesitate to recommend this lovely hotel.
