Giving this hotel a 4 star for the views, friendliness of the staff and antiques. Great base to explore the area and close to good places to eat out. Ask for a front room for the sea view. Outside seating area for breakfast was lovely.

This is a quirky hotel, full of curios (some might be antiques, but many of the things which decorate all the rooms and corridors are rather younger). The breakfast room on the 4th floor has a seaview: what a treat. The coffee is good and there was a good range of foods in the buffet. If you climb right up...

The hotel have amazing location in the center of hapenings. The hotel staf is very friendly and they try to give the filing to their guests that they are very welcom . And I must not forget to give them and other people of Giardini Naxos the best rating for their warmth and kindness. Me and my wife visit Giardini...

I stayed here as part of a small tour group. It was the last stop on our week-long tour of Sicily and was a great way to end a fantastic trip. The entire hotel is beautiflly decorated including the rooms. The location is perfect for strolling along the water-front shops and restaurants. The breakfast not only had a wide variety...

Our family stayed in the LA RIVA hotel four night last week. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel owner and her team were very helpful. The room we stayed in was great, with a clear sea view , and even the side room which our 3 children stayed had a good sea view. The hotel location in...

If you want to visit Taormina on a budget stay here. Fab location and excellent breakfast by Sicilan standards. I loved the quirky decor in what is a basic 70s cube. OK the rooms also belong to that era but are very clean and comfortable and everything works. Wonderful seaview balconies. It does get very noisy at weekends but is...

Really nice little hotel in a great location. Our room was quite small but adequate and the balcony was big enough to sit out on in the evening. The decoration in the hotel is quite individual but beautiful and all is clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a highlight, very wide choice served in the fourth floor restaurant with a...

The hotel was very comfortable with helpful and nice personnel. Our room was facing the side street which was quite okay, though there can be a bit of noise from a cafe/pizzeria which is next to the hotel in the side street. Also noises from the main street come through the windows. Otherwise room was big with a lot of...

A very pleasant hotel just across the road from a small beach and with wonderful views across the bay. Decorated in traditional Sicilian style, it actually had two single beds at opposite ends of the room, not inches apart as is usual. The bathroom was a little 'tired' - toilet seat different colour from the bowl, hand-held shower head -...

I was in Giardini Naxos in August 2008 and April 2011, both times I did not stay at La Riva but in Taormina, but both times I was eating lunch at Giardini Naxos and had great difficulty in getting a taxi back to Taormina. Both times La Riva saved the day in ordering us a taxi. So they were very...
