I stayed in Hotel Ripagrande for 2 nights in early November. On arrival I much appreciated that all my advance requests were honored - the room was at the top floor, relatively quiet from the street noise, and I got a bathtub as requested. Another great surprise was a cable internet connection in the room, so I could efficiently use... More

Charming and unique old hotel with the most wonderful staff! A great central location on a quiet street, with restaurants, shopping, Castle Estense, the city walls, and much more all within easy walking distance. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly, a real asset. The breakfast was included and was a great value. If, however, you like generic... More

Very centric, old hotel in Ferrara. Our room had 3 levels. Lots of space, but bathroom was very small. Breakfast, included in the rate was very good. Their staff is their primary asset. Internet available. If traveling by train take a taxi to the hotel. www.ferrarahotelripagrande.it Tel. 39 0532.765250

We initially booked for 2 nights and ended up staying for 3 nights. It was a lovely comfortable hotel in a very central location for Ferrara. The room for the first 2 nights was big but had no stand up shower, just a bath. The last night we had a big shower in a smaller room. The rooms were comfy &... More

A fantastic midrange choice in the lovely town of Ferrara. We had a room on the top floor with a great view. Breakfast was good. Internet access available. A great base for our short overnight stay, would definitely return.

The Satnav woman wasn't so sure of how to explain the route once we entered Ferarra, and no wounder,so many narrow one way streets and on top of it I think she is American from her accent, and they tend to get confused at the best of times. In the end I was driving the car in reverse in order not to... Excellent stay at this hotel near the centre of Ferrara. The staff went out of their way to make sure that all our needs were met. Having bikes to loan to guests was a real plus as we used them in the evening and following morning of our stay. Staff was very helpful and helped get our bikes set up,... More

I stayed one night at this hotel May 26, 2013 as a solo traveler. When I arrived I asked immediately for my passport. No "welcome to Ferrara, no Welcome to our hotel". I complained about this and they apologized, but nothing more. The room was quite nice size and comfortable. The location was close to the center and I was... More

I was in Ferrara 3 days and enjoyed in nice town, after sightings spending nice time with my sweetheart in the Hotel. Staff is very helpful. We were in Ferrara on May 20 when 2 earthquakes (terremoto) hit. The hotel shook but did not suffer any damage. The proprietors were clearly concerned for their guests and made certain that everyone was informed and safe. We walked from the hotel into the old part of town, which is so amazing. Unfortunately, everything was closed and roped off... More
