You feel as if you are in the countryside when in fact you are a 5 minute bike ride from the center of town, and within Ferrara's ancient walls. The rooms are large and nicely furnished, with good views, good beds, clean and modern bathrooms and (critical in the summer) -working air conditioning. Our room was well laid out with...

Ok, you are not exactly in the city center, and anytime you much reach anywhere you have to walk; 15 minutes. However, this villa (elegant oldime style) is placed in that section of Ferrara which was extended int the XVI century and never built when the ruling power declined. It means? It is placed among parks and gardens, very near...

The Villa Horti della Fasanare is about 15 walking minutes from the old town of Ferrara, set in a beautiful park, close to the old city's wall. We were greeted by Elda and she kindly explained what to do and where to go. The suite we booked is very modern, stylish and yet practical. The bed was very comfortable, situated...

Unusual hotel / B and B . We had a great room - angelica . Duplex very well designed all white and minimalist. Whole place seemingly run by one person but seems to work. Ferrara is a great place to visit - not overly touristy but fond great restaurants and enough to see. Free bike hire from hotel which is...

I'm a regular visitor in Italy and have stayed in some wonderful hotels which I have paid for the service, location and room. This villa ticks all the boxes and is cheap! The villa is family run and extra care and attention is given to ensure your stay is lovely. Breakfast is nice too. The rooms are immaculate and comfortable....

The house was lovely, and the grounds were delightful to explore. I liked the sculptures in the garden. Nice area near the walls of the city. My boyfriend didn't care for some of the advertising choices of the hotel. Upon entering, we saw a video montage of the hotel, and various marketing materials. I thought it was a bit unusual,...

An excellent mixture of modern and traditional runs though the hotel. My stay was very comfortable and all the staff very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located quite centrally within the city walls but at the same time in a very peaceful location surrounded by parkland within the city. Closely located within walking distances to many locations and restaurants...

“Apparently there are a lot of mosquitoes in Ferrara. Even in mid October I ran into a few myself and a can of Raid will come in handy. My room was also very hot and I couldn't seem to regulate it. Or turn off the coloured lights in the showers. Had I bothered to ask someone I'm sure it could have been fixed and I would not mark the hotel down for my own laziness on the matter.”
