The guesthouse comprises four units, two on the ground floor and two upstairs. We stayed in one of the upstairs units. It was quite spacious and extremely clean and nicely furnished. The living room had limited cooking facilities discretely located behind a large cupboard door. Staying here allowed us to really appreciate what it must have been like to live... More

ANTICHE PIETRE APPARTAMENTI The place has four rooms, one with two bedrooms (but don't know about the others.). This is not an easy place to find among the windy medieval streets of Erice, so the owner Massimo meets clients in the main square where he ages your bags, helps you to park your car and then drives you up the... This facility was ranked #1 in Erice and for good reason. Massimo, the owner was available when we arrived and took us to a good location to park our vehicle. He went to the location every morning and identified good restaurants and stores to purchase authentic Sicilian products.( interestingly, he referred us to Pina Parisi to purchase a Sicilian rug.... We spent one night in Erice at Massimo’s PIETRE ANTICHE, and we really appreciated everything we experienced. Erice is a medieval city, with thick walls, stone paved streets, sturdy buildings and 60 churches. During the day it is crowded by tourists, but in the evening and night, the city empties. Massimo’s PIETRE ANTICHE is a medieval house, with a yard... More

We stayed one night in the 2 bedroom apartment Begonia. Beautifully clean and nicely decorated. Well situated to walk to all of Erice, which is itself very lovely with unbelievable views of surrounding countryside. Two provisos: one is the expected switchback drive up the mountain to reach Erice. The other is the nearby church bells which chime the hour (... More

Max texted me the morning of our scheduled arrival to inquire about our arrival time. Met us at entrance to city and helped us park and transport us to the apartment. Unit fits in perfectly with the historical surroundings of this ancient city. Enjoyed hearing history of the building which has been in family for over 500 years, although completely... More

Massimo is a super host! He was gentle from the start, helping us with parking/luggage, driving us to the (wow!) apartment, in a building 500 years old, in a street with a perfect location, so charming. Massimo gave us the best tips and gifts for a breakfast was waiting for us. Our 4 years old son loved so much the... More

Smartly furnished, spacious apartment with shared inside courtyard in a great central location. Massimo makes sure everything goes smoothly, driving your luggage and directing you to the car park. He's a pro. Good value.
