We had just the best week at the Hotel Ancora. The staff were wonderfully helpful, the meals just the best (get to know Antonio, the Maitre'D if you wish anything special) and Flavia, the owner and hostess is just the most charming person. The rooms were large, the beds comfortable (and if you wish a double, it's not like the...

Just leaving an incredible week with the my ski group. Lovely hotel and classic old world beauty with modern amenities. Each room has a view and most with balconies. Incredible food. Rivals any top restaurant. 5 star. Situated in a prime location in the village. Access to shops, ski lifts, and restaurants. Attentive great staff. If you are visiting Cortina...

We checked in and was upgraded to a suite with balcony, which was great however there was no furniture to use the facility, minor issue. Flavia makes this hotel work she has enormous energy and a wonderful personality, she is omnipresent and accommodating. Although the hotel is old and a little noisy it is very clean and comfortable, would like...

Over the last 25 years we have stayed in many Alpine ski hotels and we keep coming back to the Ancora in Cortina. it has the charm, the staff, the gentility, and the most unbelievable food of a by-gone era. Perfection in the food and service makes guests feel like royalty without being pretentious. we have already booked our room...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights as part of an Insight tour. We found the staff very pleasant. Our room was a bit on the small size however it was clean and the bed comfortable. We looked at one of the other rooms and it was much bigger with a wonderful view of the Dolomites. Breakfast was ample...

My wife and I decided that we needed a break from Orlando Florida so we planned a two week trip to North Italy in September, 2014. On the list of places that we really wanted to visit was Cortina De Ampezzo. We were very pleased that we did. The lovely little city is a natural base to visit the Dolomites...

Had a fabulous time here. The rooms were very nice and very comfortable but the thing that was so wonderful was how attentive the owner Flavia and her entire staff were. We felt welcomed from the minute we arrived. We had a wonderful dinner our first night with a special ravioli from the area that was outstanding.(wish I could remember...

Hotel Ancora is a warm and charming alpine retreat perfectly located in the center of Cortina. The hotel is an easy walk to hiking & biking trails and a variety of restaurants & bars. We stayed in room #88 / 89 which was spacious, clean and comfortable with a great balcony that overlooked the pedestrian way and offered jaw dropping...
