A stunning location above the clouds. Superb views, a wonderful setting. Ten out of ten. But the accommodation food and facilities were dreadful- coin operated showers that didn't work, indifferent food, cramped quarters, shared bathrooms. A relief and welcome after a long walk, but with a bit of effort could be superb.

You can either swan up here on the gondola and stay overnight in a very neat Rifugio and then walk over the plateau behind to take in the wonderful routes into the northern ridge at the other side. We had walked up the Kasierjager and hot chocolate beckoned. And what a hot choc it was. Luxury in a cup. at...

First of all, the location is spectacular, with an incredible view. I think for that reason they think they can get away with playing with their bookings. We had booked a private room for two 7 months before our trip and when we hiked there after a long day, he told us our room had been cancelled. I could see...

I spent a single night here at the end of August in a private room with a shared bathroom and half-board (dinner & breakfast the following morning) Upon arrival it was like gaining instant admittance to a private club - friendly fellow visitors and great staff - comfy room with a feather bed & crisp clear mountain air. Unbeatable views...

One of the three men's showers wasn't working. The waiting area was awash with water from the two remaining showers while the shower cubicle was submerged in ~ 2cm water. Difficult to change trousers without getting them wet. I had to go into the corridor to put my trousers on. 3.5 Euros! It would have been worth 3.5 Euros after...

I stayed here during my photography workshop. What a beautiful place this is! On the top of the mountain, it seems like you're alone on the top of the world. The rooms were very clean and so was the bathroom. The breakfast was als very good. I would advice anyone to stay here when visiting the Dolomites. It's such a...

We stayed on the last night of our (short) three night trek on via alta1. We had a very nice stay - the staff were friendly and the food was perfect. The views are breathtaking and accessible via cable car for those not inclined to hike over mountain passes.

Lovely spot for a night on our 4 day walk in the Dolomites. Beautiful views - decks to enjoy the afternoon sun. Accommodation very comfortable and food fantastic. Would highly recommend - cows with bells surround the valley.

We went hiking in the Dolomites for two weeks in July and a highlight of the trip was staying at Rifugio Lagazuoi. Staying overnight at a rifugio was new to all of us and this was a wonderful experience. We reserved a private room upstairs, instead of the dormitory below, and it was well worth it. Cozy, warm bedding, fabulous...

We had a pleasant stay at Rifugio Lagazuoi while doing the Alta Via 1. This rifugio had the best view of all the places we stayed, that's why I rate it quite highly. However, the hut itself is a little bit worn down, and not half as charming as many of the others. The food and the staff was okay....
