Based on the raving reviews we read about Residenza d’epoca Tamara, we booked a “residence” of 2 rooms/ 2 bathrooms, kitchen for 8 nights. I say “residence” because it has apparently a different treatment than a hotel-type arrangement. Little did we know how little it is offered and how little it is disclosed! And also little did we know about...

One of the best hotels we have been to! We had the Superioir Suite with a big terrace and a beautiful sea view. The staff is very kind. You can walk to the beach in less then 15 minutes by stairs from the mountain. There is also a bus that stops in front of the hotel to take you there....

Easy to find with parking in view. The owner, Ciro, could not be more friendly and helpful. Clean, comfortable rooms with amazing views out to sea. A small enclosed communal courtyard to sit and admire the views. An added surprise when we arrived was the discovery that this hotel was the venue for filming an Italian comedy film, Benvenuti al...

Friends and I made reservations for rooms at this hotel. Subsequently, I spoke with Ciro, the owner and manager, several times to confirm prices, ask tourist questions, etc., etc. Well, by the time I got there, Ciro and I were like long-lost cousins. As we stood on the terrace upon arrival, he asked me where I was... Trick question? Well,...

This hotel is absolutely everything you dream of when you think of visiting Italy. We visited towards the end of May 2015 for two nights. We had the entire hotel to ourselves, except for two other tourists we only saw once. From the rooms you have the entire Mediterranean in front of you, with the clouds rolling off North Africa...

We stayed in the residence's villa. We had a terrace that overlooked the town of San Marco below and breathtaking sea views. The villa itself was charming and comfortable. It had everything you could possibly need. The staff was amazing and friendly. We had an unbelievable time!

With an extraordinarily generous and fun host, lovely rooms, a stunningly beautiful view, Residenza Tamara is a fantastic place to stay. The owner, CIro, gives great recommendations for restaurants, local events, and day trips. You can snorkle, see bufalla mozzarella being made, go to a fig museum, or just walk around the gorgeous town of Castellabate. This hotel is exceptional.

Room with amazing view, super cooperative and helpful owner, and marvelous ambience. The location is great; close to the bus stop to go down to the beach as well as major sights in the town. A short set of steps (three minutes) leads to a square frequented exclusively by locals with a mind boggling view. Another set of steps leads...

We were a young couple staying here overnight on our way along the coast towards Naples. The place is quite easy to find: you just head up towards Castellabate and on the very top of the hill, the Residenza is just past the traffic light up a few flights of stairs. For us, it was important to have a car...
